IU basketball set for busy fall of official visits

  • 1h ago

IU basketball’s 2026 recruiting efforts are off to a strong start with the commitment of Prince-Alexander Moody, a 6-foot-4 guard from Bishop McNamara High School in Maryland.

The Hoosiers will look to add to the class this fall as several key prospects in the rising senior class have scheduled campus visits. Here’s a look at which class of 2026 prospects have already been on campus and a look at the visits scheduled for this fall:

Completed official visits

Latrell Allmond

The No. 41 player in the class of 2026 according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, the 6-foot-8 power forward was on campus in mid-June for an official visit.

Allmond is one of IU’s top targets in the class and the Hoosiers have tough competition to land his commitment. He is scheduled to visit Kansas at the end of this month and has a list of finalists that also includes Arizona, Maryland, Michigan State, Miami (FL), Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Virginia.

Alexander-Moody

Moody completed his official visit to Bloomington in late June and committed to the Hoosiers shortly after.

Luigi Suigo

The 7-foot-3 center from Italy visited IU in mid-June and is joining Serbian professional team Mega Superbet, which the Hoosiers played three times in Puerto Rico, for the upcoming season.

Sayon Keita

While technically a 2027 prospect, the expectation is that Keita will move to the 2026 class. The 6-foot-11 Mali native took an official visit to Indiana last month on July 29.

Upcoming official visits

Taylen Kinney

A native of Newport, Kentucky, the 6-foot-1 Kinney now plays at Overtime Elite and is one of the most dynamic guards in the country.

The Hoosiers will host Kinney for an official visit on the weekend of August 29-31. In the latest 247Sports Composite rankings, Kinney is a five-star prospect and the No. 16 player nationally.

His top 12 schools include Arkansas, Auburn, Indiana, Louisville, Kansas, Kentucky, Miami (FL), Purdue, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Xavier.

Junior County

The Hoosiers are in the final five schools for County, a 6-foot-4 guard from Wasatch Academy in Utah.

The other four schools in the mix are Arizona, Maryland, Purdue and UConn.

The No. 42 player in the latest 247Sports Composite rankings, County will visit Bloomington the first weekend of September.

Davion Adkins

A 6-foot-9 center who now attends Prolific Prep, Adkins is down to six schools: Auburn, Houston, Indiana, Kansas, Rutgers and UCLA.

He will begin his fall official schedule with a trip to Bloomington on the weekend of September 13.

Adkins is considered the No. 2 center nationally and is the No. 37 player nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Anthony Thompson

Adkins won’t be the only prospect on campus in Bloomington on the second weekend of September.

Thompson, a 6-foot-8 wing from Western Reserve Academy (Ohio) and Indiana Elite, is also scheduled to visit Indiana that weekend.

The No. 9 player nationally has a list of finalists that includes Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Purdue and Texas.

Ethan Taylor

Considered the top center in the country for the 2026 class, Taylor recently trimmed his list to six schools: Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, Oregon and Oklahoma.

His trip to Bloomington is scheduled for the weekend of September 19-21. The 7-foot Taylor attends Link Academy in Branson, Missouri.

He is rated as the No. 22 player nationally in the latest 247Sports Composite rankings and a five-star prospect.

Deron Rippey Jr.

The Blair Academy (N.J.) prospect is scheduled to visit Indiana on the weekend of October 17-19.

His top 12 schools include Alabama, Duke, Indiana, Louisville, Kansas, Kentucky, Miami (FL), North Carolina, North Carolina State, Syracuse, Texas and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-2 Rippey is regarded as the No. 17 prospect nationally and a five-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite.
