Video: Class of 2026 IU basketball recruiting target Cole Cloer highlights at Augusta EYBL and Peach Jam
Cole Cloer earned a scholarship offer from the IU basketball coaching staff on May 21 and has the Hoosiers among his eight finalists.
The eight schools in the mix for Cloer include Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Louisville, North Carolina, NC State, UConn and Virginia. Here’s what Cloer said about the Hoosiers in a recent interview with Zagsblog:
“Coach Rod Clark, he was at Tennessee before. I’ve grown to know coach Clark over the last three, two and a half years. Tennessee was one of the first big schools to start recruiting me. So I got to know him through there. And then coach [Darian] DeVries, great coach. Indiana loves their basketball. They’re kind of in a rebuilding stage with the new coaching staff, but that could be a good thing. They need players to come in. They need players to produce. They need players to build around. So that’s a good part of it.”
A 6-foot-8 wing who recently announced his transfer to IMG Academy (Fla.) for his final high school season, Cloer is currently ranked as the No. 29 player nationally in the 2026 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is considered a four-star prospect.
