A look at the final numbers for IU basketball’s Aleksa Ristic from the FIBA U20 Eurobasket

After a 5-0 start in the FIBA U20 Eurobasket in Heraklion, Greece, Serbia stumbled over the weekend, losing games to Italy and France to finish in fourth place in the event.

Incoming IU freshman Aleska Ristic played a pivotal role for Serbia, starting all seven games over nine days.

With the FIBA U20 Eurobasket now concluded, Ristic will join the IU roster in Bloomington as the program’s 12th scholarship player.

Here’s a game-by-game look – as well as cumulative stats – for Ristic’s performances in Greece:

July 12 vs. Israel (win) – 11 points, seven assists, one rebound and two turnovers in 27 minutes. Ristic shot 3-for-10 from the field, including 3-for-5 on 2s, 0-for-5 on 3s and 5-for-6 on free throws.

July 13 vs. Slovenia (win) – Eight points, four assists, two steals, one rebound and one turnover in 29 minutes. Ristic shot 4-for-12 from the field, including 4-for-7 on 2s and 0-for-5 on 3s.

July 14 vs. France (win) – 22 points, eight assists, one rebound and three turnovers in 33 minutes. Ristic shot 8-for-13 from the field, including 6-for-6 on 2s, 2-for-7 on 3s and 4-for-5 on free throws.

July 16 vs. Ukraine (win) – 12 points, 11 assists, one steal and one blocked shot in 31 minutes. Ristic shot 4-for-11 from the field, including 2-for-6 on 3s, 2-for-5 on 3s and 2-for-2 on free throws.
