Former IU guard Grace Berger waived by the Minnesota Lynx

The Minnesota Lynx waived former IU All-Big Ten guard Grace Berger on Wednesday afternoon.

The No. 7 pick in the 2023 WNBA draft by the Indiana Fever, Berger appeared in both preseason games for the Lynx. She scored seven points, had two assists and a rebounds in 22 minutes of preseason action.

In 37 career games for the Fever between the 2023 and 2024 WNBA seasons, Berger has career averages of 3.9 points, 1.6 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 13.3 minutes per game.

She is a career 44.1 percent shooter from the field, a 46.2 percent 3-point shooter and a 76.9 percent free-throw shooter.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Berger finished her IU career with 1,841 points, 573 assists and 752 rebounds. She averaged 12.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.1 steals and shot 45.2 percent for her IU career in five seasons.

Indiana won 118 games with Berger on the floor. She played in 148 games for the Hoosiers, making 118 starts. She was a four-time All-Big Ten first team honoree and was named USWBA and WBCA All-American honorable mention in the 2022-23 season.
