2020 Indiana Basketball Recruiting Board

The 2020 Indiana Basketball Recruiting Board is a collection of information on recruits that Indiana is believed to be recruiting for its 2020 class.

Information that appears on school lists is collected from public recruit profiles on ESPN, Rivals, 247Sports and various news outlets. School lists only denote reported interest, not offers. The board should not be considered a complete list of prospects being recruited and is not endorsed by Indiana University.

Trey Galloway (Committed to Indiana on July 26, 2019)

Guard, 6-5, 200 pounds, Culver Academies, Indiana Elite

Notes: Galloway was a core Indiana junior All-Star and committed to the Hoosiers in late July after adding a scholarship offer in April. He took a junior year official visit to Bloomington in late May.

Anthony Leal (Committed to Indiana on August 9, 2019)

Guard, 6-5, 195 pounds, Bloomington South, Indiana Elite
247Composite ranking: 4-star (96)

Notes: A core junior Indiana All-Star, Leal earned a scholarship offer from Indiana in late April and committed to the program on August 9. He’s currently the highest ranked prospect in Indiana in the class of 2020.

Matt Cross

Forward, 6-7, 210 pounds, Woodstock Academy (CT), BABC

Schools: Butler, Florida, Indiana, Miami, South Carolina, Texas A & M

Notes: Cross was one of the breakout stars of the first Nike EYBL sessions in Atlanta
and added a scholarship offer from the IU staff in late April. Cross took an official visit to IU in late May and while he hasn’t officially narrowed his list, the Hoosiers are in the top tier of contenders to land his commitment.

Dawson Garcia

Center, 6-11, 225 pounds, Prior Lake (Minn.), D1 Minnesota

Notes: Indiana is looking to tap into Tom Ostrom’s strong recruiting roots in Minnesota as it continues to pursue Garcia. The Hoosiers hope to get Garcia on campus this fall for an official visit.

Jordan Geronimo

Forward, 6-6, 195 pounds, St. Paul’s School (NH), Mass Rivals

Notes: Geronimo was one of the breakout stars on the adidas Gauntlet circuit and is scheduled to take an official visit to Bloomington on August 30.

Caleb Love

Guard, 6-3, 175 pounds, Christian Brothers College (Mo.), Brad Beal Elite

Notes: A dynamic point guard from the St. Louis area, Love took an unofficial visit to Bloomington last fall. He has Indiana among his finalists and will take an official visit on the weekend of September 14.

R.J. Davis

Notes: Davis is another breakout player this spring who added an IU scholarship offer following a strong performance on the EYBL circuit. The Hoosiers are working to secure an official visit from Davis this fall, but thus far, he’s only scheduled dates with Pittsburgh, Marquette and North Carolina.

Hassan Diarra

Guard, 6-2, 180 pounds, Putnam Science Academy (CT), PSA Cardinals

Notes: Diarra, a point guard from Queens, earned an IU offer on May 23. He’s a four-star prospect nationally according to the 247Composite.

Jalen Bridges

Forward, 6-7, 180 pounds, Fairmont (W.V.), Wildcats Select

Notes: Bridges, an AAU teammate of Loveday, added a scholarship offer from IU in May. He has Indiana in his top 10 schools.

Zach Loveday

Center, 7-0, 220 pounds, Huntington Prep (WV), Wildcats Select

Notes: Loveday, who is originally from Ohio but transferred to Huntington Prep, is a priority recruit for several midwest programs, including Indiana. He has taken multiple unofficial visits to Bloomington.

DJ Steward

Guard, 6-3, 170 pounds, Whitney Young (Ill.), Meanstreets
