2020 Indiana Basketball Recruiting Board

The 2020 Indiana Basketball Recruiting Board is a collection of information on recruits that Indiana is believed to be recruiting for its 2020 class.

Information that appears on school lists is collected from public recruit profiles on ESPN, Rivals, 247Sports and various news outlets. School lists only denote reported interest, not offers. The board should not be considered a complete list of prospects being recruited and is not endorsed by Indiana University.

If there is a prospect we should consider adding, please drop us an email at [email protected].

Projected class size: 3 or 4
Last updated: May 24, 2019

Anthony Leal

Guard, 6-5, 195 pounds, Bloomington South, Indiana Elite
247Composite ranking: 4-star (82)
Schools: Butler, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Northwestern, Stanford, Xavier, Virginia

Notes: A core junior Indiana All-Star, Leal earned a scholarship offer from Indiana in late April and could provide a much needed shooting boost in the 2020 class.

Trey Galloway

Guard, 6-5, 200 pounds, Culver Academies, Indiana Elite
247Composite ranking: 3-star (208)
Schools: Butler, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Purdue, Xavier

Notes: Like Leal, Galloway is a core Indiana junior All-Star and added a scholarship offer from the Hoosiers in April of 2019. Galloway has taken several visits to Bloomington and has a strong list of suitors in his recruitment.

Caleb Love

Guard, 6-3, 175 pounds, Christian Brothers College (Mo.), Brad Beal Elite
247Composite ranking: 4-star (31)
Schools: DePaul, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas State, Louisville, Missouri, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia

Notes: A dynamic point guard from the St. Louis area, Love took an unofficial visit to Bloomington last fall and the coaching staff went to visit him this spring during the open recruiting period. He’s clearly a priority for Indiana in the 2020 class.

247Composite ranking: 3-star (227)
Schools: Butler, Cincinnati, Creighton, Florida, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Miami, Penn State, Saint Joseph’s, South Carolina, UConn, UMass, Xavier

Notes: Cross was one of the breakout stars of the first Nike EYBL sessions in Atlanta last month and added a scholarship offer from the IU staff in late April. The IU staff followed up with a visit to his school following the first evaluation period and appears to be building a solid relationship.

247Composite ranking: 3-star (204)
Schools: Fordham, George Washington, Georgetown, Illinois, Indiana, La Salle, Manhattan, Maryland, Northwestern, Penn State, Seton Hall, St. John’s, UMass

Notes: Davis is another breakout player this spring who added an IU scholarship offer following a strong performance on the EYBL circuit. His national ranking should rise significantly in the coming months.

DJ Steward

247Composite ranking: 4-star (108)
Schools: Creighton, DePaul, Florida, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana, Iowa, Louisville, Marquette, Michigan State, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Saint Louis, Texas, UAB, Wake Forest, Xavier

247Composite ranking: 4-star (28)

Notes: Indiana is looking to tap into Tom Ostrom’s strong recruiting roots in Minnesota as it recently extended a scholarship offer to Garcia, one of the nation’s premier bigs in the 2020 class. Garcia plays for D1 Minnesota, the program that produced current IU forward Race Thompson.

Zach Loveday

247Composite ranking: 4-star (51)

247Composite ranking: 4-star (99)
Schools: Dayton, Fordham, Georgia, Indiana, Rhode Island, Texas Tech, VCU
