  • In fairness, it's not the student paper's responsibility to run a story based on whether it's good for the basketball program in relation to the timing of a recruit's visit.

  • Indiana Red

Agreed. I guess I'm probably like most IU fans, in that I feel like the basketball program needs all the help it can get right now. It's not the IDS's problem, it's my crippling fandom. I didn't mean to imply that the article was doing anything wrong. Harrumph.

  • BaseballBuc

This is got to be a done deal. Moses is ours.

  • Diesel

How about the article by the IDS? Recruiting debacle? Moses not a savior? I'm not saying either of those aren't accurate, just not sure you want that negative slant the day from the student paper before the kid comes to Btown.

Any idea how teams are chosen, i.e. who is on black and who is on white? Just eager to speculate that Abraham chose to be VO's teammate.

This is good news – hopefully more tomorrow. Did anyone see this on another forum? Apparently Brandon Mobley believes he's IU bound . . .

Bizarre to say the least . . .

  • Indiana Red

Huh, yeah I'm not sure what Mr. Morrison was trying to say in that article—it jumped around quite a bit. I wouldn't think it would have much of an impact on Abraham's visit, but I also don't think it would have hurt to wait until Wednesday to run it.

  • hoooooosier

idk what that kids talking about because he isnt coming to IU, we dont need him

  • MillaRed

Nice catch Dan. I don't know what to believe. Can you say “over-signing?”

  • Hardwood83

Interesting…..is he a back-up plan in case MOAB walks away? I haven't heard his name even mentioned in months.

  • IUDan

Agree all – very strange that he's been so off the radar, only to make a comment like this. I figured Yeguette to be the back-up plan to MA, if at all . . . perhaps we will take both – I think they'd be great together, but understand where we are with numbers.

    Just really weird.

  • Haha, I understand man. And let's be serious, the IU basketball program does need al lthe help it can get right now. Seeing what happens with this Abraham visit should be really interesting.

Enough schollys or not – bringing in two big guys WOULD NOT be a problem for Indiana – there are a couple players currently on the line up that, in my opinion, could definitely be replaced.

  • vslice

I know that he is much younger and much smaller, but doesn't that photo look like a young Ron Artest???

  • MillaRed

Can we fast forward to 2012 so we can see if Crean knows WTH he is doing? With all of these borderline 3/4 star forwards we can only hope a top 10 five star whatever comes in to take it all to the next level.

I'm not really complaining. I'm just having a hard time understanding the process. Rebuilding sucks!

worst article I have read in quite some time.

  • marcusgresham

They generally group guys together in that game–U of L players on one team, UK players on the other (which means, often, you have to root for both sides to lose) and if there are IU players they end up together. They also tend to put “potentials” of a school with other guys from that school, too, so this was likely planned by the organizers, not a request by the players.

  • Indiana Red

Thanks a lot for the clarification, mg. You are wise beyond your handle.

  • marcusgresham

I don't know about wise–just in the Louisville area (but on the right side of the bridge, by God!)
