Eshaunte Jones re-opens recruitment

According to a report on Rivals.com, Eshaunte Jones has re-opened his recruitment and will re-evaluate his options over the summer.

“He said it has nothing to do with coach (Kelvin) Sampson or (assistant coach) Ray McCallum. Bear just wants to see some more options,” Vaughn said. “He’s still looking at Indiana.”

Not good news for the Hoosiers as Jones appears to be a sleeper in the 2008 class that can shoot it with the best of them and put up points in a hurry. Rarely does a recruit re-open his recruitment and end up with the school he originally committed to.

From Jones’s standpoint, this move could make sense as the Hoosiers appear to be stacked at the guard position in the upcoming years.

Is he getting recruited over or is some other school in his ear?

I’d say Cincinnati has a good shot, considering they were one of his top schools before he committed to IU.

Not the best of news–I was excited to see him play for the Hoosiers, as a FW native.

I do believe, that regardless what happens with Jones, Sampson will be able to put an impressive class together with the scholarships we have available.
