Former Indiana forward Will Sheehey, who started his first professional season in Europe and finished it in the NBA Development League, will play in the NBA summer league for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Sheehey will play for the Pelicans in the Las Vegas summer league, which begins on July 10.

In his first professional season, Sheehey spent time with KK Buducnost of the Adriatic League in Montenegro and both the Fort Wayne Mad Ants and the Los Angeles D-Fenders in the D-League.

With Buducnost, he appeared in just nine games and averaged 4.2 points and two rebounds in 12.3 minutes per game. He was released in December and signed with the Mad Ants on January 28.

But his tenure in Fort Wayne didn’t last long as he played in eight games before requesting his release in late February.

Sheehey then finished his first professional season with the Los Angeles D-Fenders where he averaged 9.4 points in 25.3 minutes per game.
