Video: IU recruits at Derby Festival Basketball Classic practice

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – All three members of Indiana’s 2015 recruiting class – O.G. Anunoby, Thomas Bryant and Juwan Morgan – are participating in Saturday’s Derby Festival Basketball Classic at Freedom Hall in Louisville.

On Friday morning, all 20 of the game’s participants gathered at Scribner Middle School for practice and some brief scrimmaging. Inside the Hall was there and we’ve compiled some video from the practice below:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Class of 2015 Waynesville (Mo.) is one of the participants in this weekend’s Derby Festival Basketball Classic at Freedom Hall along with Thomas Bryant and O.G. Anunoby.

The teams arrived in the Derby city on Thursday afternoon and practiced at Male high school. Inside the Hall was there and caught up with Morgan before practice for a lengthy interview, which covered a variety of topics, including the impact he hopes to make on IU’s team next season:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Class of 2015 Huntington Prep (W.V.) big man Thomas Bryant is one of the participants in this weekend’s Derby Festival Basketball Classic at Freedom Hall.

The teams arrived in the Derby city earlier today and practiced at Male high school. Inside the Hall was there and caught up with Bryant before practice for a lengthy interview, which covered a variety of topics, including his recent announcement that he’ll play for the Hoosiers next season:

Video: Assembly Hall groundbreaking ceremony

Indiana held a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday afternoon for the Assembly Hall renovations that are underway with a planned completion date of the fall of 2016.

Among the speakers were university president Michael McRobbie, Cindy Simon Skjodt, athletics director Fred Glass, Tom Crean, John Laskowski, Tyra Buss and Robert Johnson.

Video: Thomas Bryant DICK’s National Tournament highlights

Recent IU commit Thomas Bryant put up a huge line (27 points, 19 boards) in Huntington Prep’s 73-70 win over Wheeler in the opening round of the DICK’s Sporting Goods High School National Tournament on Thursday.

Bryant’s Huntington Prep team fell in the next round to Oak Hill Academy, 61-51. Bryant has 12 points and six boards in the loss.
