Podcast on the Brink is back for a new episode with hosts Jerod Morris of The Assembly Call and Alex Bozich of Inside the Hall. The show is available weekly.

In this edition of the show, Morris and Bozich preview Wednesday’s matchup with Duke in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge and Morris is joined in the second segment by former IU forward A.J. Moye. Among the topics discussed:

· Takeaways from Indiana’s last three games
· The challenges that Duke will present for the Hoosiers
· Why it will be interesting to see how Duke responds to the atmosphere in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall
· What AJ is up to now, and how he’s doing health-wise after his stroke from several years ago
· His reflections on the 2002 title game run, what made that group so special, and how Bob Knight told him just how good that group would be
· His relationship with Bob Knight, and if he ever wonders how his career might have been different if he’d gotten to play for Knight
· Why he thinks the Indiana staff needs more former IU players on it
· The pep talk he would give this year’s Indiana team heading into its battle with Duke on Wednesday
· Check out A.J.’s t-shirts in partnership with Hoosier Proud here and here

And much, much more. As always, feel free to drop the show a note at [email protected].

It means Dpuke is beatable. It’s not like Dpuke are Christ and His Twelve Disciples.

  • IdahoHoosier

They talk about it in the podcast, but Moye made the remark back in the day suggesting Duke is beatable and human, as bball at nick’s said.

  • sarge

Him and JJ! Jared Odle also played the game of his career, it’s like Duke couldn’t see him or something. Coverdale with that huge shot on the baseline! Great game, the kind that makes you a lifer.

  • sarge

At least you would have died happy!

  • sarge

I just watched a video on YouTube about the 92-93 Hoosiers. Definitely got me hype af

  • bball at nick’s

A kinda stupid analogy if you ask me, considering that Christ was no symbol of brute power but rather sacrificed himself on the cross for the salvation of humanity.

  • sarge

I used to spend hours in the HPER running games. I was a sleeper at 5’8″ with almost a 40″ vert and a good long ball. It’s sad how terrible I am now with no shot and no vert.

  • sarge

They came together soo well that year. Man could they shoot.

There is an “expert” prediction to Kansas today. This is good news. It means the predictions are still volatile, and that we have a chance.

  • RonMlarkey

    Keep telling yourself that.

  • RonMlarkey

    Wheres the duke preview?

  • John D Murphy

    No doubt!

  • John D Murphy

I know this is the bball fan but if you haven’t read the letter to IU from Rashard Fant on IUHOOSIER dot com you should.

  • John D Murphy

He will and I will and almost every fan. Rosy optimism bordering on the delusional is what separates fans (short for fanatic) from the general population. It is how it is so easy to distinguish that you aren’t one.

  • RonMlarkey

If you wanna be a delusional optimistic because u think that makes you a “fan” be my guest. I prefer to live in the real world with real expectations and logic based on reality.

  • IdahoHoosier

I just read it and thanks for the suggestion. Great stuff!

  • IdahoHoosier

    Absolutely true sir.

  • sarge

Your expectations are low, very low and lacking any optimism. It’s real, real bs that you pose as a fan.

John, my son showed it to me earlier and Rashard once again showed how great he is as a human. Class act at all levels. Thanks for the post.

  • unclekerfuffle

I meant to reply to Mark. We were in NO for the ‘87 FF.

Our youngest daughter still tells stories about being on Kirkwood the night the Hoosiers beat Duke in 2002

Both were nights to remember in our history.

  • bball at nick’s

Then go cuff yourself. How’s that reality for you? LOL.

  • IUMIKE1

Don’t be treating Porkchop like that…..dws

  • IU Hoosiers # 34, 1979-83

Northwestern isn’t looking good right now against Georgia Tech.

  • John D Murphy

Nothing wrong with being a realistic observer and still enjoying the games. I do that with the nfl and nba. It’s just a bit unusual to then also have the emotional attachment to visit fan sites.

  • Doug Wilson

I know right! Not much different than Knights Motion Offence. “History, Tradition!” isn’t just a saying at Hoosier Hysteria!
