· Strengths and weaknesses of Thompson’s game
· Thoughts on Jerome Hunter and what he’ll bring to Bloomington
· The surprise commitment of Damezi Anderson
· What Anderson will bring to the table
· Where the recruiting class goes from here

And much, much more. As always, feel free to drop the show a note at [email protected].

thanks as always guys, love these podcasts. Go Hoosiers! Love this news!!!!

  • IUBizmark

I have to say I’m pretty disappointed. I’ve been checking the site every hour for the last nine hours since the last commitment. So far, NOT ONE NEW COMMITMENT!!!

  • iugradmark

    Couldn’t agree more

Three new commits, three more to come (in theory). Prediction: Phinisee, Henry, and…Langford. That would be quite a class and 4 Indiana residence to boot. Our defense will consist of a bunch of 6’7″ 220 pound dudes knocking people around.

3 solid, top 100 players. the stage is set, the pieces are in place to reel in the major impact players to the ’18 and ’19 classes. to me, it’s gonna be the difference between a really good team and a team capable of winning it all. good news is, it only takes one per class. now go get em CM!

Do we know the last time a recruiting class at IU consisted of 3 top 100 players? I’m asking this question by viewing Race as still a 2018 commit.

  • GatewayHoosier

I think Vonleh, Troy, Stan in 2013. Unless I’m forgetting one more to go with JBJ and Rob in 2014. Or one more to go with De’Ron and CuJo in 2016.

  • WhatsUpKnight2.0

i think that’s about right, and don’t forget fischer was in that class as well.

  • GatewayHoosier

Completely forgot about Luke. Man I had high hopes for that class.

    I just re-committed (as a fan).

  • Ole Man

We only have two available scholarships.
    But I’d like those three.
However, I’d take Garland over Henry everyday of the week.

In 2016, DG and Gelon were both outside the top 100, as was Hoetzel, Holt, April (!) and Priller in 2014. I doubt you could have found 100 better freshmen than Holt that year though, which was definitely the case with Morgan and Annunoby in 2015 to go along with Bryant. That was an all top-100 class if you re-ranked them as freshmen! Just goes to show how dicey the ratings are.

  • I’d like to see Phinisee (or, in deference to Ole Man, Garland) and Romeo. Then hold onto a scholarship for 2019.
