Highlight reels make everybody look good. I like what I see, but I would love to hear from anybody who has actually seen him play.

  • I’ve seen him play. Very, very solid prospect. He can play inside and out. Not an explosive athlete, but a hard nosed kid who brings the effort and will be a very solid college player.

Wow. Talk about service. You’re like a jeanie or something. I would love for someone to deliver a big pile of cash to my office.

  • TomJameson

That sounds exactly like a player for Archie’s system. Especially the “hard nosed kid who brings the effort” part.

    Thanks.

  • John D Murphy

Nice mid-range touch. That is a forgotten skill today which will be making a comeback very soon.

Are a bunch of ones that smell like perfume ok?

  • We’reAllForYou82

Interesting point. I noticed that shot too. Arch lets his big guys in particular use them I believe.

He is one of my top 2018 choices right now. Good frame and size and likely still growing. Inside players need to push people off spots and hold their ground in this D, I think.

  • John D Murphy

    Yes they are 🙂

He uses his body well to get position. Just think what he will be like when he gets stronger. His body type is the kind which can put on very good muscle. I hope we get him.

Archie likes the physical play, without fouling of course, so it sounds like Race is the guy to fit that system. Besides, I like his name … Race!

Am I the only one who thinks Alex has arguably the greatest job on the planet. Dude gets to cover all things IU basketball, has personal and journalistic conversations with the staff, players, and recruits, and probably has a nearly a front row ticket (and the equivalent of a vip pass) to every game. Other than the greatest Hoosier who ever lived (Mr. Don Fischer) Alex might just have the best job on the planet.

“Its a steal! And Thompson’s off to the races and THOMPSON with the slam! Indiana with their 200th point and Purdue still scoreless!”
