With the shot clock winding down and Indiana needing to create something, Newkirk heads right to get a ball screen from De’Ron Davis:
Davis doesn’t get a body on Newkirk’s man, but Newkirk still begins to turn the corner:
Newkirk is pursued closely, but still has an angle to the hoop:
He uses a jump stop to great effect and it allows him space to get up a shot and score:
Nice control and move from Newkirk when IU needed to get something going late in the shot clock.
