He’s definitely on the rise. A solid 4-star guard.

When Al was shooting the three free throws near the end of the clip, alone at the line, he still reached out to his teammates after each shot. Pretty cool IMO.

  • Missing Moye

He looks really comfortable finishing with both hands. That baseline floater was pretty.

    Lefty rj?

  • BannerOrBust

This kid is going to be a great addition to the squad.

Kid really showed a better shooting touch than earlier tapes (and against better competition). Did u see that floater from the corner with his RIGHT hand..no small feat for a lefty. Can score from a lot of places….yea!

  • Courtney Graber

Fast, long arms, slithers through the D. Love this.

The biggest single knock on AD has been his shooting. If this video is any indication, that has gotten much better. Obviously this is just one set of excerpts from one game, but even beyond the results, his form and mechanics look solid. He isn’t particularly explosive, but he has great length, seems able to play through contact, and has nice energy. We’ll see how it all looks against better competition, but for whatever this video is worth, there is much to look forward to.

Yes, he uses both hands very well!

  • Fivelefts

Love Al’s fundamentals! He dribbles with his head up and his handles are controlled.. He really has no problem getting to wherever he wants on the floor, anytime he wants! Plus! He can finish with either hand! I bet Al’s game, reminded coach of Wade.. by the way he seeks out contact at the rim.

You mean slithers through stationary trees in a forest? LOL.

  • N71

Exactly what I was thinking…a big complement. 5 star at nothing, 4 star at everything.

  • Piker

Good analysis. Love this kid. Plus we just got a couple up votes for JT.

  • HAVOC

… yes, great analysis! I read the same analysis of Al using both hands from almost everyone commenting here… but you’re very accurate!

I think is is rated as a three star which very low rating 249.

I have often wondered why because he was very highly rated before he committed.
