Film Session: Purdue
To start the second half, Edwards enters the ball into Hammons. Johnson has already left his man, Thompson, in pursuit of the double team:
Johnson doubles down:
Hammons finds Davis up top. Johnson now heads back over to pick up Thompson, who is under the hoop:
As Thompson makes his way out to the right wing, Johnson is able to recover over to him as he receives the pass:
But once Thompson enters the ball into Swanigan, Johnson is back to work once more on a double team:
He pokes the ball loose from Swanigan:
And recovers the ball for an IU steal. Johnson pushes the ball up the court:
He finds Hartman on the right wing:
Hartman streaks through to the basket and attempts a lay-in:
It misses, but Bryant is there for the rebound and putback:
Great hustle and effort from Johnson here on defense.
