I have often wondered ‘what if’ Jay Edwards had stayed?
Of course with his style I might have had a heart attack!

  • Knuckledrager

Best pure shooter to play at IUBB. IMO. To big an ego, also IMO. Go Hoosiers

Same, he provided some electric moments and perhaps Knuckledrager is right, he could be the best pure shooter to have played at IU.

Steve Alford. Look up his stats. Shot almost 60% from the floor as a freshman!?!

    Good podcast … Thanks!

I hope we get another McDonalds AA just to keep the streak alive. Also, isn’t the existing streak for IU at 5 years in a row??

  • N71

Yep, he was certainly great as well. Edwards had a beauty to his shot though that didn’t show up statistically so-to-speak. His height, elevation, high release, smoothness, under pressure…nearly artistic. Alford to me was somewhat like Hulls or Reggie Miller, its something he worked harder at than anyone else and wouldn’t be denied, Edwards was kind of like Ray Allen, when you see it in person you say to yourself, that just looks different.

  • It is five years:

    2011: Zeller
    2012: Ferrell
    2013: Vonleh
    2014: Blackmon Jr.
    2015: Bryant

  • Jim

Teams are going to try to get Bryant in foul trouble every game. If he does, big problems. You know purdue’s game plan…
