has anyone ever see a 7 footer that agile? who can handle the ball that well? i guess durant and garnett come to mind, but both are a smidge under 7′.

hard to gauge talent from highlight reels (as we all now know, watching a guy dunk on a 12′ rim only tells you two things, jack and s#!*), but sure looks like this kid’s going to be a superstar one day.

  • INUnivHoosier

Would have been a nice addition this year. You can’t always get what you want.

  • WhatsUpKnight2.0

he could have been a difference maker (pun intended) this year, that’s for sure. but if we can get him for the entire season next year, i’d almost prefer that. still ain’t holding my breath. no doubt every big time school is going to be knocking on his door.

  • Gregory Spera

He’s Tom Crean’s dream player. A shot blocking demon in the post on defense and an athletic 7′-1″ WING on offense.

  • IU diehard from CT

must have this kid…..he is one of the best high school talents i have ever seen.. a 7’1 kid running the break and shooting threes, getting boards and taking dudes off the dribble. every time i watch him I’m amazed at his potential. i hope he comes to IU….

  • IU track Alumni

Most high school potential since Lebron. What can’t he do on the court?!

  • inLinE6

Bryant + Maker = Banner #6. Too bad Yogi is running out of his eligibility next year.

  • And One

I’m willing to wait. Dude’s phenomenal. If we lose talent next year in the form of Yogi, Troy, JBJ yet manage to add him, there won’t be much of a drop off.

  • MK

Ok. Anyone who doesn’t want this kid is CRAZY

  • WhatsUpKnight2.0

he would fit in nicely with what CTC does, eh? hope he reminding him of that every day!

  • INUnivHoosier

I’m willing to wait, but if he were actually to do the 1.5 year route, it would have been nice.

  • SCHoosier

I may be tired of the “Maker Saga”..but this kid is really going to be something special.

  • mckillio

Agreed, if we can only have him for one year I’d rather it be a year later so he’s more polished.

  • marcusgresham

    Dirk Nowitzi maybe?

  • marcusgresham

Your only hope is to force him left…..and even that failed a couple of times on the video.

  • Hoosier Fanatic

I would love to see him in candy stripes. If we can bring him in it would be the biggest sign since Cody.

  • HannerTime Hoosier

naw, we should pass on him as we may encounter too much drama recruiting him! Omfg, he may be the #1 recruit in his class and some ITHers can not deal with ‘him’?!?! He may be THE best recruit EVER to attend IU. Hmmmm, stop the recruiting now, ITHers are obtuse & can not handle his recruitment. Hmmmmm . . .

  • HoosierStuckInKY

The kid is just nasty. Absolutely sick. A filthy beast. He’s so good that we use derogatory adjectives to describe him.

  • Brklynhoosier

Whether we land him or not, he’s not spending more than a year in college. This kid would go #1 in the draft THIS year…

  • WhatsUpKnight2.0

    yeah, good call

Anyone still think he would have stayed more than the partial season he would have been here if he had chosen to go that route ? He would be in the top two or three, if not the number one pick, in this upcoming draft. Having a bunch of schollys to fill next year could be a good thing or a bad thing, just depends on how his handler, er, ahhh, his ” guardian ” sees that kind of scenario. If there aren’t any red flags with this one it appears to be one of those rare ones where it’s worth putting up with his handler….. I mean guardian, damn it, I keep getting saying that wrong for some reason.

  • ScoopGeoff

Theres no way theres a better player in HS than this kid…
