I wish he would shoot his free throws faster.

Heard that Crean doesn’t allow his players wear headbands. Is that true?

  • Not a Crean thing, more of an IU thing is how I understand it. Don’t really recall anyone wearing a headband except for a few games under Mike Davis and it ended quickly.

Thanks Alex. Does it contradict with etiquette set force by the athletic department, or the sponsorship agreement with Adidas? I agree it looks cleaner without headbands but don’t quite understand the rationale behind it. What about arm sleeves?

  • SilentBob

Probably the same with the sleeves. If I remember correctly, every clip I saw of Troy Williams in high school he was wearing a sleeve. I’ve never really understood it but I guess I don’t have too lol

  • John D Murphy

Looks like a successor to TW. Other than taking a hard shot a couple of times instead of an easier one, pretty impressive moves. Seems like he is pretty comfortable with an 18-20 J as well.

  • SilentBob

Each time I see his highlights I come away more impressed. I know they only tell a fraction of the story but I’m really liking that fraction. Amazed he isn’t a top 100 kid to be honest.

  • SCHoosier

Can’t believe this guy isn’t higher rated in that class. Good inside-outside game..and can elevate.

  • N71

I’m not sure he’s as athletic as Troy…I mean who is? I see him as more of a Devin Davis/Collin Hartman type, do everything utility players but not someone you build your offense around like Yogi, Troy, or James.

  • N71

I’d be shocked if its related to Adidas. By the way, I thought Under Armor showed pretty well with Maryland. I see that as a quickly rising US brand that will eventually counter Nike, Adidas is more committed to Europe and soccer. While we’ve had a long standing relationship with Adidas, I wouldn’t mind a shift to Baltimore based Under Armor if it meant more money, better stuff, and could be used as a recruiting tool.

Maybe he’ll slow that down over time. He’s gotten the referee introduction slowed way down, so there’s hope.

  • INUnivHoosier

I always wondered what they meant when they said, the game is slowing down for X player.

  • Hoosier711

A lot better shot than Troy or Devin coming out of high school. And shooting usually can translate to the next level

Loved the touch pass to his teammate…speaks to his court awareness. Looking forward to O.G. and Juwan being in the fold.
