• God bless Yogi Ferrell. He is the heart and soul of this team and you can see it in the intensity in his eyes. This is his team, and rightly so. Offense, defense, leadership…the whole package. (trimble who?) Yogi is the best guard in the country. Next year he leads IU to the Final Four. James Blackmon is not getting the recognition he deserves right now. How does one “quietly” score 20+ points on a regular basis? He’s a cool customer, but COME ON! Give this guy some props! That dunk? Without him, this team is little better than last year. Great win, what a joy to watch this group grow and succeed. I am so proud of this group.

Clyde, I agree with all you say but don’t think you go far enough. When you talk about quietly scoring points the first one that comes to my mind is RJ. That guy just does it all! And enough can’t be said for Troy as well. His athleticism and body control is truly off the charts. WOW! And Colin, driving AND hitting 3s. When they are clicking like that, they can beat anybody! Really proud of this team and the GREAT job from the coaching staff.

Next year? Next year? To hell with next year, when we’re rolling on all cylinders, like we were last night, we can play with anyone THIS YEAR! Guards win in March, and we may have the most lethal back court in the country. I’m not saying we will, but Crean is putting us in a position where we have a chance. We keep improving and we’re no where near done. We gave Maryland a whoopin’ while our bench only chipped in 5 points and 4 rebounds.
