• hagster

    Never heard of the guy.

  • cooper

The pass was 10x better than the dunk

  • Ole Man

    Preferred walk-on.

  • Chris Perkins

What does this say about the athletic ability of our team when a walk on wins the dunk contest!

  • CreanFaithful

Yeah. The athleticism is weak. LOL.

I’m not even mad, I’m impressed.

  • NateMH

It’s not a good thing, that’s for sure. This guy could be the second coming of…….Matt Howard!

  • CreanFaithful

    Misery loves company.

  • ForeverIU

These silly contests mean nothing. I was there for both. Our players were just having fun and were all just happy for each other.

  • Awesome fans, you guys make IU proud.

  • NateMH

It’s called reality faithful..you should try it sometime fellow Hoosier

  • CreanFaithful

You should try learning the names of our players first. I’m well grounded.

  • NateMH

Look I just want us to start winning, and I think Tom Crean is an excellent Christian man, but I’m just alluding to the fact that sometimes it gets old watching walk-ons when there are more talented guys on scholarship. I’m just hoping we don’t run into, that again this season. Btw, I realize his name is Nate; not only is it mentioned in the first sentence, but I share the same first name. Go Hoosiers!

  • Here’s the thing – you watched the most talented athletic guys on the team in the dunk competition. The high flying, high ranking guys competed in the dunk competition. But, the walk on won.

  • cheeseman18

Are people on here seriously getting worried because a walk on won the dunk contest at Hoosier Hysteria??? Wow. Y’all need to chill. It means nothing, they were just having a good time, Hanner and Troy tried to do too much and missed, so they had to do something easier, that’s another reason Nate won. Our team is certainly athletic.

  • ForeverIU

Lol, exactly right. And Nate missed two of his dunks. It almost looked like his teammates wanted him to win. That was the spirit of it all.

  • NateMH

    Fair enough

  • Exactly, they were just having fun out there and were happy to support their teammates

  • Ole Man

Nate happens to be very athletic. The “voices of doom” are funny!

  • ForeverIU

    Funny? They’re nut cases, lol!

  • CreanFaithful

    test: flagged???

  • The_Bob_Michaels

That we won’t win the Big Ten dunk championship? That’s about all I can think of.

  • Michael Crawley

I was their and you are correct.

  • Michael Crawley

Yeah Troy and HMP have no chance making the rotation. Despite the fact that HMP was a beast in the scrimmage and Troy looked solid as well.

  • MPmike B

What so special about this dunk? It was good, but good enough to win the contest? Pretty weak contest if that was the best dunk of the night. Surely, he must had better dunks than this during the competition.

  • ihoosieru

I have seen video of him and he appears to be quite athletic. He did some dunks in the video. So could be saying that we have a very athletic team.

  • Zach

Not a great dunk contest unfortunately but it’s all for fun and people getting worked up need to shift their focus somewhere else. Ritchie won because he had a couple pretty good dunks and Troy and Hanner tried to do too much and failed

  • SCHoosier

Just glad nobody left a finger on the rim. On to better things this season with a healthy team.

  • SCHoosier

Just proved that (some) white men CAN jump!:)

  • MPmike B

Thanks for the info. I am glad that everyone had a good time and no one got hurt. Let’s get this season started out the right way out of the box.

  • Blair McKee

well good for him! Great teams with rich traditions have guys like this who want to be “Rudy” – now back to the end of the bench.
