Class of 2015 Brewster Academy (N.H.) guard Donovan Mitchell has emerged this summer as a major recruiting target for Indiana and the 6-foot-3 guard has already announced that he plans to take an official visit to Bloomington this fall.

Mitchell, who is rated No. 83 nationally in the 247Composite, is in line for a significant bump when the rankings are updated next month after a fantastic summer to-date with The City, a New York based AAU program.

Here’s a look at some recently released highlights of the New York native from his junior season at Brewster Academy:

This kid will be a game changer! Oladipo/ Marcus Smart! Hope we can grab him before he shoots up the rankings.

Looks like a more polished VO out of high school. Has a high motor and willing to defend. Needs to work on his left hand.

    Impressive…this kids got some hops!

Wow. Gotta love all the tip dunks and shot blocks from a 6′-3″ guard.

Is it me or does this kid have that AJ Moye type of bulldog look to his game? It looks like he could use to develop his off-hand a bit. Definitely attacks the basket with force. His body is already very mature for his age, and with Je’nay’s program he could be a beast.

Very intriguing prospect. He’s coming for a visit (never hurts) and could be the first “get” that Chuck Martin’s New York connection brings us. It certainly seems like we are pursuing (at least) a combo guard and a legit big man. Shake Milton, Kenny Williams, Donovan Mitchell, Jalen Coleman, Prince Ali and perhaps Bryant Crawford (seems like interest has cooled though) are looking like the most probable guard options….Juwan Morgan, Caleb Swanigan, Alex Illikainen, Stephen Zimmerman (seems highly unlikely), Nick Marshall and maybe Thon Maker (if he reclassifies and even then, it seems highly unlikely) seem like the most likely big guys.

There’s a ton of options out there and we won’t have a huge class (barring more significant defections)…with a net that wide, I sure hope we can fill our needs effectively.

TC likes guards who can board..this kid HAS HOPS! His shimmy and shake on offense is pretty good too.
