I know that “looking the part” doesn’t mean all that much when you actually start playing games but my goodness, Hanner Perea absolutely looks the part. I don’t want to hear anyone complaining that these guys don’t work hard or “don’t want it”….I’m in decent shape and am tired just watching that workout. Keep after it Hoosiers, we all look forward to seeing your hard work pay off when the season starts and the bright lights come on.

  • Bryce Kepner

    Perea is a physical specimen!!

JeNey Jackson is worth his weight in gold. A fantastic coach!

  • Crimson&CremeFraiche

Wow. Yogi has turned into a monster. I’m impressed. Coach Jackson is the man. Hopefully all the hard work pays off for them. I think the amount of muscle all of our players gain while on campus will have a positive effect on recruiting in the near future. If the recruits are willing to work. And its good to see them all pushing each other and still having a good time. Looks like this will be a close-knit team. Losing Kenny hurt but we ABSOLUTELY have to hang onto Jackson.

Hey guys, hope you like this video even more than the first one we made! I just want to say that as intense as this video is, it honestly barely captures the true amount of raw work that they put in that morning! There were so many drills that didn’t make the final cut due to time constraints. I was very blown away by how hard they worked out and was pretty sweaty/winded just from filming them for the duration. Just figured I’d share that little tidbit with you guys.

Thanks for the positive feedback and if you want to see more videos like this, PLEASE make sure to “LIKE” the video on YouTube and/or LEAVE A COMMENT (on YouTube as well) letting them know what you like about it and what you want to see more of in the future! (This is by far the easiest and best way to encourage them to want to make more content like this and help us make even better videos in the future!) Thanks again Hoosier Nation!!!

Please, send immediately to all IU prospects. It’s Indiana!
Coach Jackson is in a league of his own.

  • NateMH

Nice….putting in work!!! I’m ready to watch our guys whoop on L’ville in NYC!! We are IU!!!

  • plane1972

    Thanks, Chris. Really cool!

  • SCHoosier

Yogi’s arms look like he’s preparing for a cage match. I’m sure the freshmen are thinking “WTF does this have to do with b-ball” They will find out come conference time: impressive workout…no quarter given or taken…but will pay off big time in last 10 minutes of a game. (or when PU fans row their tractor tires on the court) :).

We just learned why there have been so many transfers. Attrition is the mission!

  • RealHoosierFanatic

This is the first step in our transformation into the new ‘the u’. I would be soooo happy.

  • 323SGrant

These guys work very hard. I hope they have a good season. However, don’t put everything on tape. I don’t want our competitors to learn all of Coach Jackson’s secrets. LOL!

  • HannerTime Hoosier

Break it down! (Nice pants, Hanner) Stop, Hanner time!
    Every time you see me
    The Hanner’s just so hype
I’m dope on the floor and I’m magic on the rim
Now why would I ever stop doing this?
With others making shots that just don’t hit
I’ve toured around the world, from Columbia to the Bay
It’s “Hanner, go Hanner, MC Hanner, yo Hanner”
And the rest can go and play

  • SCHoosier

Pls don’t confuse the young man. In simple terms 1) catch ball 2) shoot ball in basket when possible 3)make all opponents shots in the paint disappear (and without fouling please) Not as cool..but much more practical:)

  • ForeverIU

Can you bring us the Canada games? LOL.

  • bk39

Liked and comment on utube— keep posting these as it’s great to see this team working together towards success.

  • inLinE6

Look at Hanner’s body – what a waste not to play in the NBA!

  • HannerTime Hoosier

Just having fun amigo! Don’ t you feel like dancing now?!

  • Chris Wight

Thank you! IU Athletics has a lot up it’s sleeve for the future!

  • bk39

    Awesome !!

  • hardly

the secret isn’t the drills – it’s the effort and the time and the motivation, which can only be copied if they’re willing to go through the pain

  • inadvertentelbows_stillhurt

    Them boys getting ready,,,,,nice

  • Esquire

Not to be “that guy”, but I am a graduate of IU, so let’s agree to keep the apostrophes out of our possessive pronouns!

  • Hoosier Hall

So imagine you’re at a bar or nice club and you’re talking to a nice looking girl and she says “I have a boyfriend”. You’re thinking “I’m not really looking for a relationship anyway” so you tell her “It doesn’t matter to me if it doesn’t matter to you”. Then, her boyfriend shows up and it’s HMP! How bad would that suck? 6’9″ and 230 pounds of hulking monster looking down at you! You could go for the groin kick but I think it would just break your foot.

  • Zach

Man I love these workout videos. Keep em coming!

  • 323SGrant

    That’s what LOL means.

  • shknqk

There seems to be some mixed signals from Noah on how he was used and developed. But 18 rebounds in his summer league game suggests to me that he was perfectly developed to be a rebounding man child ala Moses Malone, and CTC keeping him down low for the experience and Jeney giving him the strength to thrive seems like Jeney should never pay for dinner when NV is in town.

  • Kyl470

As much as Hanner looks the part, Priller does not. I noticed that during the running all the other players were pulling tires and he seemed to be the only one who wasn’t. I guess physically Priller isn’t there yet. I really hope Hanner develops his fundamentals because physically he is blessed.

  • Derek Morris

My buddy just hit the IU kids basketballl camp 2-3 weeks ago and he got to see the team practice and workout and his opinion is that Priller needs a full year to contribute. He might look decent against the Div2 or 3 teams we seem to play but once the real competition sets in, his body is very underdeveloped. For comparison, his body is not built like Luke Fisher’s was coming in. But let’s not get caught up in that since Tom Priller (feels like I’m about to say Prichard every time, lol) has a different skill set. This off season strength and EATING program is stupid valuable for him. We can trust in Jackson for sure. I’m not coach but if I were, I would use Priller out on the perimeter pulling the trigger so his man has to get out of the lane and let our guards GET LOOSE.
