Blackmon Jr. scores 28 as Indiana All-Stars rout Juniors

Marion guard James Blackmon Jr. scored 24 of his 28 points in the second half as the Indiana All-Stars beat the Junior All-Stars, 124-102, in an exhibition on Wednesday night at Columbus North.

It was the second meeting between the two teams this week and Wednesday’s matchup was far more competitive than the first.

On Monday, the Indiana All-Stars put a complete beatdown on the Juniors with a 140-91 rout at Logansport.

The Indiana All-Stars will play the annual series with the Kentucky All-Stars this weekend with a Friday game in Lexington and a Saturday matchup in Indianapolis.

In the pair of exhibition games, Blackmon Jr. scored a total of 50 points on 20-of-39 shooting from the field.

The Indiana signee finished his high school career with 2,387 points, which ranks in the top 10 all-time in state history.

The leading scorer for the All-Stars in the exhibitions was Xavier signee Trevon Bluiett, who scored 74 points over the two contests. On Wednesday in Columbus, Bluiettt had 44 points on 19-of-26 shooting.

Mr. Basketball Trey Lyles has not participated this week due to an illness.
