    Hell ya Peter

  • ForeverIU

Does anyone have the Nike Hoop Summit box score stats for JBJ? I read that he only made 3 points in limited minutes?

  • FinEndNow

Hopefully he can come in and average about 14 points for us. He’s going to be a 3 year type player.

  • FinEndNow

Trevor Thompson has committed to Ohio State.

  • ForeverIU

Yeah I just saw that. If a recruit doesn’t even think we deserve a visit, then I’m not going to feel sorry about not getting him.

  • FinEndNow

Time to offer Link a scholarship.

  • MeniscusDiscus

If we can’t even GET a recruit to visit when we were supposedly on his list, then that says something about our program/coaches/recruiting efforts.

After Lee that’s second time it’s happened in a very short period.

  • FinEndNow

And Ohio State has been picked in both cases. So what is Matta using against IU?

  • Shaggy_C

Interesting that Crean specifically recruited him to be a point guard rather than a shooting guard. I guess it would make sense that when Yogi graduates or leaves for the NBA there’s a succession plan in place but those two absolutely have to be on the floor at the same time next year.

  • FinEndNow

Yogi, JBJ, Troy, DD and HMP will start. Either RJ or Stan will be backup PG’s. But Stan is also the backup SF lol.

  • MeniscusDiscus

Intelligent, even keeled guy who knows what IU needs. I say, make him a player/coach!

  • Shaggy_C

Matta doesn’t have to say anything about IU. That we missed the NIT speaks for itself in the eyes of recruits.

  • MeniscusDiscus

Maybe Crean can visit Thad, sit at his knee, and learn?

  • FinEndNow

Or maybe its the fact that Crean has ZERO idea how to use a big man. Thats what I’d use against Crean always. I’d tell recruits to come to tOSU because we’ve sent Greg Oden, Kosta Koufos, Byron Mullens, and Jared Sullinger to the NBA and we got them the ball. And that they wont have to run a million complex offenses.

  • ForeverIU

What’s Link’s full name? I tried to look him up.

  • Ole Man

5 minutes. Game wasn’t worth watching….all street ball.

  • ForeverIU

Phew, I was hoping that would be the case.

  • FinEndNow

    Link Kabadyundi.

  • FinEndNow

Im thinking it may be time for Larry Bird to look hard at what to do with Roy Hibbert and George Hill.

  • OhioHoosier

    Find a different messaging board.

  • OhioHoosier

BJ Mullens and Amir Williams are failures in their respective times at Ohio State.

  • FinEndNow

BJ Mullens still went 1st round.

  • Outoftheloop

Yes to the starters. But Stan is the back-up PG, Robert SG, Max wing, Peter C and Colin 4.

  • Outoftheloop

And another one bites the dust! Apparently OH St is more desperate than IU! That is good to hear!

  • Outoftheloop

Between Lee and Trevor, OH St has not achieved much but butts on the bench!

  • FinEndNow

Max is the backup 4. PJ will be lucky to suit up next year. Hartman may not suit up either after tearing his ACL not too long ago.

  • Outoftheloop

    Agreed!

  • ForeverIU

I like the positive outlook, lol.

  • ForeverIU

Both Anthony Lee’s and Trevor Thompson’s final pre-announcement tweets were from the OSU football stadium. The symbolism is interesting. Do they both not want the pressures of a basketball-first school?

On another note, there are rumors that someone has been bad-mouthing our coach and program. I hope they know that they are playing with fire, because we’re gonna show them what we’re made of next year.

  • FinEndNow

There could be multiple people doing that. Ex players or ex coaches.

  • FinEndNow

That game was too close… But great game. Go Pacers!

  • OhioHoosier

So did Cody and Noah is about to. That doesn’t matter. We are talking about collegiate production.

  • ForeverIU

I saw this on espn about Trevor Thompson: “Thompson likely will sit out next season at Ohio State, but there is a chance he could request a waiver from the NCAA — due to his father’s medical condition — to see if he could play in 2014-15.” It makes sense now why he tweeted earlier that he will accept nothing short of a national championship next season. My question is do both Trevor and Anthony have starting minutes on the team? Is there more of a chance his waiver would be granted at OSU than at IU or Purdue, and that maybe had something to do with his decision? Hmmmm.

  • CreamandCrimson

Try IndyCornrows or eightpointsnineseconds. Both sites do excellent work on the Pacers.

  • JetpackJunky

You’d think the NCAA would have preferred he go to a school within 2 hours of his father if that were the concern. Only making it halfway back from the 8 hour trip to VT and not visiting the schools that were an hour or so away from home, would suggest to me that it wasn’t really about trying to be close to home at all if I were making the decision.

  • marcusgresham

    Free tattoos?

  • marcusgresham

I was thinking the same thing but that insinuates that the NCAA would employ logic.

  • JetpackJunky

Probably why they don’t do these as contested hearings. I’d note the express desire to win a national championship as well.

The NCAA is increasingly anti-waiver so who knows how it will really turn out?
