Podcast on the Brink: The return

  • 02/12/2014 7:51 am in

Podcast on the Brink is back with a new host and just in time for the stretch run of the 2013-2014 season.

New host Jerod Morris of The Assembly Call is joined by Chronic Hoosier and Inside the Hall editor Alex Bozich to discuss this week’s games against Penn State and Purdue and whether they are must wins if the Hoosiers still hope to make the NCAA tournament.

Among the other topics discussed this week:

· Indiana’s defensive improvement as the Big Ten season moves along
· The IU players who have exceeded expectations and those who have under-performed
· The play and development of Hanner Mosquera-Perea and Jeremy Hollowell
· The impact of the Marcus Smart incident on college basketball
· How Indiana needs to finish up to consider the season a success

So tune in and enjoy. As always, feel free to drop the show a note at jerod@assemblycall.com.

Good job guys. A real improvement from the old version.

  • I agree. Really, we need at least 3 of the next 4 to keep hope alive for the final stretch of the season. If we beat Iowa at home, we might be able to get away with dropping one of the road games (@Purdue, @Northwestern), but certainly if we don’t beat Iowa then we need both of those road wins. All four are winnable. It’s time for potential to turn into production. Starts tonight.

  • Thank you. Excited to be a part of the reboot.

Thank you a thousand times over!

  • You’re welcome!

  • Just wanted to throw in my two cents. Last year I really always looked forward to the Podcasts. Wondered what happened to them this year. I will also agree with those who indicated they thought this was a better execution of the podcast than last years versions. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the next one. Very well done.
    Thank you.

  • Thanks Ken, the kind words are much appreciated. I looked forward to them too … so I’m glad we’re able to get it back up and running. Alex and I have already been discussing a number of great guest options, and we’ll be working hard to put a great, consistent product together for everyone here.
