Check out 10 photos by Kelly Kline and Under Armour of Indiana recruiting targets Isaiah Whitehead, Goodluck Okonoboh and Stephen Zimmerman from last night’s Elite 24 in Brooklyn in the embedded photo gallery after the jump.

I’m gonna be completely honest. After watching Whitehead in the UA Classic last night, I’m not sure I want Blackmon to recommit. IW is somethin special.

  • tj21

Whitehead and Goodluck both looked pretty special. Add Johnson and watch out….

How did all the IU targets do in the game? Points, rebounds, shooting percentages?

I know Whitehead was MVP, but that’s all. I read that Zimmerman had a rough game, but don’t know details. I was wondering how Goodluck did, too.

It would be kind of nice to see an Isaiah wearing # 11 In Candy stripes again.

An Isaiah Whitehead commitment would be so sweet!

Ugh I wish I knew he was gonna be on TV! Watching recruits play in an actually game is soo much better than seeing highlight videos. Could anyone go into more detail over what they saw? It would be awesome!

Zimmerman got a couple dunks on good passes to him but I just think he is out of his element playing this street ball style of play. I thought GO looked very good in spurts but easy to see he still has a lot of work to do. Whitehead was really good and I wonder if UK does not come after him late to the party like IU has since they lost Mudiay.

  • SeattleHoosier

    Where did Mudiay go?

Gave a verbal at halftime of yesterday’s game that he has chosen SMU.

  • WisconHoosier

    Thanks, Mike.

I hope we can score all three of these guys!

Nicer to see him wear some other number playing next to #11.

What are IU’s chances with SZ? He’s not high on the recruiting board as of now, so does that mean that he’s not high on IU (or vice-versa) or that no one knows his recruiting lean? I would love to see Okonoboh and Whitehead both in the stripes, alongside Johnson and (longshot) Dante Exum.

    Cool uniforms.

ESPN has Whitehead ranked #35. There is no way there are 34 better recruits than him. He and Goodluck would compliment each other extremely well. I like your call for those three a lot.
Add them to our current class and I like our chances for the next few years. I bet Whitehead is one and done, but that one year would be pretty special.
I hope we get some good news this week. I am about to burst.

I said I was old! Right after I posted I remembered Yogi has # 11, but Yogie will be a junior when he is a Freshman, so maybe he could have #11 for a couple of years

IU never really had a shot at Mudiay. The “experts” had him going to UK.
    So IU didn’t lose Mudiay.

I believe he meens pUKe might come after Whitehead late since they lost Mudiay. Not trying to be a smart a$$ but that is the way i understood it. Can’t wait until we get some commits and then they sign in November these ups and downs are killing me.

If you have ESPNU you can watch a replay of it tonight. If you want a short explanation of his performance, I would say that he was the best offensive player in the game. He scored from beyond the arc and put some really nasty moves on guys to get to the cup. He’s on attack mode constantly. It reminded me of how Eric Gordon attacked offensively. I’m not saying hes as good as EG but he’s relentless on the offensive end.

  • HoosierTrav

Yeah, there is no way that there are 34 guys better than IW. ESPN and there rankings show just how biased they are…. that or how incompetent they are. I have a feeling IW will be climbing up the board.

  • HoosierTrav

In a recent interview, Zimmerman stated that UK’s John Calipari was recruiting him the hardest. Its still pretty early. I believe most of the contact from programs have been communications between the coaches and his parents. I wouldn’t invest too much into him at the moment.

  • Ole Man

That cleared it up. Obviously, I need to go to a “remedial comprehension class!” LOL!

  • Dee McDonald

Whitehead is the #1 ranked SG on Scout, so maybe it’s just because ESPN hasn’t done a recent update yet. He has to be a Top 20 player, at the very worst. Flying under the radar is A-OK with me though.

  • semohoosier

LOL we all have those moments. I call them brain farts I hope it is ok to say that on here

It just struck me… I was trying to think whose game Whitehead reminded me of -the way he moves… His build… Shot selection… Versatility…

To me he is a Gilbert Arenas clone. Anyone else see it?
