    COOODDDDYYYY ZEELLLEERRRRR. Love ya, bro.

As any true Hoosier I still can’t stand all the Fab5 hype and Michigan U. sports in general; so, as much as it hurts to admit…Jalen Rose is absolutely one of my favorite sports commentators/analysts right now across the board. Dude is hilarious.

CZ will go down as one of the all time Hoosier greats…it’s time he learn to speak confidently and cut some of the “middle of the road” stuff (IMO). If I were a NBA GM I’d be asking “does this guy even want the ball in his hands” based on how he talks…

  • I would love to see him in Boston. He would make a great 4 with KG and run the fast break with Rondo….

Jalen is awesome, and his work with Grantland is always entertaining and great. Same goes for Bill Simmons.

Candy Striped Kid, how much time did you spend on trying to understand xCowHoosier’s comment? There is a chance that it was not enough.

Candy…I hear you and yes I think I lost 5lbs sweating out/celebrating that last minute; the flip side of the coin is this: how many times did Hoosier fan complain that CZ didn’t demand the ball enough…
I think Cody has the physical capability to be a viable player in the NBA and I also think that picking up a little mean streak would help him get there.

i hear what you and lots of other people are saying “he needs to demand the ball”. i just don’t agree with that. in fact, i don’t even know what that means “demanding the ball”. good players score when the opportunity presents itself, you can see that in the final minute of that game. as long as he is putting himself in a good position, I’m happy.

Except that team will win 20-30 games this season and will be rebuilding around a hobbled and surly Rondo who CERTAINLY is not who you want to build a team around. And with Del Negro rumored as a head coaching choice, I couldn’t imagine a worse choice for him to walk in to.

Looking back I think the “demand the ball” comment doesn’t really hit what I’m trying to say. I really would have liked to hear Cody be more assertive in the interview…he comes off as passive; while I know that’s his personality and there is a part of that humility that I can completely respect (especially with all the nba mega egos) I just wonder if that is holding back. He is a skilled 7 footer with elite athleticism…he shouldn’t be afraid to admit it!
