Via CityLeagueHoopsTV on YouTube:
wow. I may watch the NBA to watch him
About time the “other” 3 point line @ Cook Hall was put to use. Good luck Victor. Great to see that Victor trusts in IU staff even after the season is over to prepare him for the NBA, hopefully potential recruits will notice.
Man I’m going to miss Victor.
The complete package. Here’s hoping for a long and prosperous career in the NBA.
I know we’re only seeing the shots he makes, but it looks like he’s only gotten better since the end of the season. Pumped to see this guy in the NBA! On a side note, I hope Cwat gets a shot, I think he can do something on the next level. Also glad that other line is being used (I refer to it as the Jordan Hulls line).
1. I’m now tired after watching that
2. NBA athleticism and then some, and then some
3. I do wish highlight clips would show some misses, even Jordan missed a few
4. This guy should go top five
5. Come back!! (I know it’s too late)
This is just making me sad that we don’t have him anymore.
I agree. He has Robert Horry written all over him.
If i was a recruit on the fence about whether IU was the place for me, I’d probably commit after watching this video. I’d watch a high school highlight then this. Excellent! I really hope he ends up in Oklahoma. He can help them right now.
They would have to trade Westbrook to get up high enough to take him. But Victor may be a better fit to play with Durant than Russell is anyway.
Dang! I miss him already! Go Vic!
Anyone, just take a look at the video that Michael Kid-Gilchrest had on Youtube prior to going number 2 in the 2012 draft. Victor’s video is easily twice as impressive.
There is no way anyone is trading Westbrook to take a chance on a rookie even though we all know how good Oladipo is. But he could definitely be their next Harden and keep improving from there.
F Me! If Victor his hitting NBA threes like that for the teams… he has to go top three.
Exactly, I’m not sure there is a team that is in a position to trade up to get him early on. So he will most likely go to a team that has some young talent already and looking to add pieces to eventually trade multiple pieces for an upcoming free agent star player. But I would not be surprised if he goes as early as 3, or as late as 13.
They actually wouldn’t have to trade Westbrook they have a lottery pick from a trade that already happened
They actually have Toronto’s lottery pick this year from the James Harden Trade. They would have to get pretty lucky to get up high enough to draft him, but it’s possible. The ball handling in that video is where I see the most improvement from him. Even from the end of the season he looks more comfortable with the ball in his hands. He still has room to improve too, which is the scary thing.
I always thought Robert Horry when I saw him. I also saw an article somewhere that mentioned that CWat was hitting about 50% of his NBA 3-point shots in practices. I would like to see that in a game situation with a guy in his face, but that is pretty impressive.
I found his ball handling drills to be exhausting just to watch. Great dribbling..and left handled slams? This kid didn’t take enuff shots last year. He was sick in this tape (edited though it might have been)
Wow, I would’ve loved to see him return for his senior season. One critique I do have being a high school coach his behind the back dribbling is not fluid enough yet but I’m sure he will master it before the NBA. Miss ya already VIC. Good luck at the next level.
Alex do major college basketball programs have pro days like college football?
Guess I do not pay close enough attention to the wheeling and dealings of the NBA. I’m not sure who would be luckier if OKC actually got a high enough draft pick to select Victor, because Victor could essentially be among the supporting cast and pick his moments to shine while lifting the team with his energy the whole way. But with Westbrook on the team, would there be enough basketball, meaning there is barely enough for Durant typically speaking.
Not bad for a defensive specialist.
Not sure why they would have to trade Westbrook. Westbrook is their PG. Vic would be their 2 guard.
I remember someone talking with Tim Legler on the radio one day (may have been d-bag, Colin Cowherd,) and he asked him, “just you alone shooting, not in a game or anything, just taking 3-point shots, if you took a hundred, how many would you hit?”
“Oh, 80, 82 maybe.”
Then I hope whatever dribbling drills he’s been doing, Will has also been doing because if he can be a top-notch ball handler he’s going to be a monster next season.
Please end up on a team that is televised in the Midwest!!! Was hoping EG would be my reason for having interest in the NBA (and still could), but that is yet to be seen….
WOW! This workout is incredible, if NBA scouts see this I don’t know how they don’t take him top 3. This is an all star in the making, and this video doesn’t even show his best skills, defense.
Way Beyond Awesome!
I was just inferring that a team at the top of the draft board would demand an all-star caliber player to get out of the position for a top 5 or 6 pick. Considering what OKC has on their roster, I do not see anyone making that trade for anyone other than Westbrook, because there is simply no way that Durant gets traded. But since it has been pointed out to me that the Thunder are in the lottery via a trade with Houston, it is a mute point now.
That is a professional for you. It is whether you can make it when it counts. Watford has the pUKe game to prove it along with countless others. It is just a couple of feet farther.
WOW he’s crazy good! I’m so going to miss him at IU but wish him the best in the NBA!
Whoever decided to post this must enjoy punishing IU fans.
