After escaping with an improbable win at Ann Arbor last Sunday, the Hoosiers have their eyes set on Chicago this weekend as they look to add a Big Ten tournament title to their outright regular-season crown.

To discuss the conference tourney, Podcast on the Brink co-hosts Matt Dollinger and Justin Albers talk to Rick Bozich of WDRB.com and get his take on IU’s chances and the fallout from their last-second win over Michigan.

Among the topics discussed this week:

· Late-game decisions that led to IU’s win Sunday
· Tom Crean and Jeff Meyer’s post-game incident
· Would Indiana rather face Minnesota or Illinois?
· Teams IU wants to avoid in the B1G tournament
· Is Victor Oladipo a top-3 pick in the NBA Draft?

So tune in and enjoy. As always, feel free to drop us a note at podcastonthebrink@gmail.com.

  • GOOOOOOOOOOO Hoosiers, win the B1G tournament! Having said that, I thought I would inform my fellow Hoosiers fans: ESPN is trying to influence voters to vote for Trey Burke over Victor Oladipo. Jay Bilas & Dick Vitale started it on ESPN’s show: “Mike and Mike In the Morning” The bias AGAINST Indiana University in the national media and the Big 10 network, IS ASTOUNDING!!! *sigh*

Does anyone else think that Yogi got a hand on the Payne missed layup at the end of the game?

  • CreamandCrimson

If you are referring to Jordan Morgan’s missed tip-in at the end of the IU-Michigan game, yes, Yogi clearly got a touch on either Morgan’s hand or the ball. It may have been just enough to make Morgan hit the ball off the glass a little bit too hard.

Cody was put on the cover of SI as the prohibitive POY favorite and IU was Preseason #1 basically everywhere. It’s pretty hard to defend the IU v. the World angle in my opinion. If Trey Burke was truly undeserving of the award, I would agree more with the conspiracy theory. But the guy is good and no one has stepped up to take the award away from him. Victor has had an amazing season and would be deserving, as well. Let’s not diminish the season Trey Burke has had. He has been a terrific player and an upstanding guy when he talks about opponents, even in defeat. I have no problem with him getting it and am happy a B1G player is most likely going to receive it.

Yep, that is what I’m talking about. I wanted to give Yogi credit since everyone is saying Morgan missed a wide open layup. I’m 95% sure he got a hand on that ball.

  • CreamandCrimson

I think you are right…Tom Crean and staff love to track deflections and I would think Yogi got some extra credit for that one.

good luck Hoosiers! As has been repeated often, Christian’s play will determine if IU dominates Big Ten tournament (and NCAA tournament) or if each game is a struggle. If Christian averages close to a double double, no one will be within 10 points of IU thoughout both tournaments.
