Glad to see Fischer getting used to playing at the Kohl’s Center. Hopefully he will have some huge games up in Madison.

I was at the Purdue-Wiscy game and was one of about 20 cheering for The Boilers. Doing so was nauseating but it was a necessary evil. Never heard it so quiet in there.

I will be watching Luke Fischer on Friday and will let you guys know what I see.

I was stunned, simply stunned that Purdue handled the Badgers on their Senior Day. I felt similarly nauseated while rooting for the Boilers on my couch. It really seemed dead inside the Kohl Center, like they couldn’t believe what was happening, can’t say I blame them.

  • The shame you two must feel, after rooting for PU, is unimaginable. I pity you.

Hey Alex (or anyone who can answer this),

Why is James Blackmon Jr (JBJ) ranked as number 47 in the country, when I feel he should be ranked higher? Everytime the “Recruit Roundup” comes out, his stats are insane for a player barely in the top 50. The only reason I can think is he might be in a weak conference/division/section?

    Beuller?

  • unclekerfuffle

I bet they both took showers after the game.

  • CreamandCrimson

The only reason that makes any sense is that he didn’t play AAU ball last summer. He was still recovering from his knee injury so he wasn’t seen over the summer when most of the scouting and rankings are put together. If he plays AAU this summer and continues to perform, he will jump up in the rankings.

Milla, how many classes are there in Wisconsin HS bball? What class is Germantown in?

  • DeeLyle

Looks like there are 5 divisions and Germantown is in the highest division.

  • SCHoosier

U are officially forgiven..cause we folks watching TV were all doing the same thing. I’ll tell you..the final 4 minutes of that game..the arena was like a TOMB it was so quiet…u could hear a mouse f—. It was surreal..and the expressions on the faces of the players..was..well I (almost) felt sorry for them What a disappointment for the Badgers.

  • Remy Willing and Abell

It appears that Blackmon has hit a slump only scoring 23 and 17 .

  • Remy Willing and Abell

Thank you whiskey . bet that was a sloooooow game ….

  • HoosierKen73

Milla, not sure if you saw it, but on another thread, someone referred to Luke’s “lack of size”. I did a reply that I was pretty sure I read at the start of this bball season, I had read that one of his coaches measured him and he was 6′ 10 in socks and 6′ 11″ on shoes. Pretty sure I didn’t just dream that..That would be about the size Cody was advertised to be at the same point in his career. Do you know anyone up there, or can you do a little ‘stealth’ on his size? Would appreciate your candid opinion after seeing him. I think the guy was just ‘dead wrong’ on his comment re: ‘lack of size’.

so is it just hartman fischer and blackmon still playing? and what is our status with trevon bluiett do we still have a chance to land him?

  • IUMIKE1

To come away from something like that mentally unscathed could only be the result of an incredible amount of mental conditioning before the game and an incredible amount of mental cleansing after the game. Bet you’re glad now that you listened to me and kept that top level clearance at the monastery. Told ya we would need it somewhere down the road. A true Hoosier you are. Way to take one for the team Milla. U DA MAN ! lol

  • IUMIKE1

Glad you put almost in there else I would have been worried about you.

Already being committed has a lot to do with it IMHO. No drama as to where he might end up at to drive traffic to the sites that have that kind of thing as their main draw. Still think he will end up moving up several spots just not like he would if had not decided yet.

  • IUMIKE1

See where Dwayne Morgan is supposed to announce his choice on April 5th. Really like this kid and really really want JaQuan (sp) Lyle from Evansville. Think Lyle is a perfect fit for the way Crean wants to play.

awesome! can’t wait to read your write-up on Fischer

How in the HELL could you even get close to feeling bad for Indiana’s biggest nemesis over the past few seasons?? I thoroughly enjoyed a loss that hurt wi, a win that didn’t help purdue really (although they are a step closer to getting an NIT bid) and actually helped Indiana. I had zero qualms about rooting for purdue in that game. While posting on Twitter and facebook I made sure that I took customary jabs at the boilers, but I’m happy they won because it helps IU!

  • Geoff_85

And they absolutely run s**t. It’s insane.

  • Geoff_85

Definitely. Uncommitted recruits make jumps as signing day nears.
