Nice interview. However, from a sarcastic standpoint, I wouldn have LOVED it if you had asked Dane what his feelings were after seeing Will Sheehey foul a three-point shooter at the end of the game, just like Dane did his senior year in the NCAA finals!

I woud have liked hearing Dane’s response if Zeller (which he would never have done) had said similar remarks about Nix? Only in America!

  • Dane Fife’s a Hoosier

Awesome interview. I wonder if anyone else caught the little slip-up when he meant to say beat IU and said beat MSU instead? He’s still an IU Hoosier at heart!

Great interview. Fife is my favorite player to ever play for IU. I know, he’s an odd choice given I grew up in Indiana and can remember most teams from ’81 onwards. I just love how he accepted his role as a defender early in his career, with limited minutes, then really transformed by his senior year to a legit offensive player.

With all that said, every interview with Fife should start, “What the heck were you thinking fouling Williams on that 3 in 2002?”
