Really like what ESPN has done with College Gameday: Basketball. Truly a fun show compared to year’s past.

  • Statman03

does anyone know if you go in for the show, but have GA tickets, do you lose your spot in line?

  • http://www.insidethehall.com/ Alex Bozich

GA line doesn’t start until 3 PM. GameDay will be over for a couple of hours by then.

  • Statman03

    Appreciate it, sir

  • HoosierPat

Assembly Hall is going to be nuts. I’m glad I won’t have to sit outside for 7 hours like I did for Hoosier Hysteria.

  • sloan screen #45

I can see it now, Marcus and Milla painted red and white bouncing around behind Rece and Digger like a couple crazed college kids.

    Commentator lineup?

  • Daburns0

So what does 3 look like? I am imagining a Zombie apocalypse type scene. Where all these kids dressed in crazy outfits come running from the parking lot. Sounds pretty awesome. Go Hoosiers!

  • SS8941

Let’s see how the whole “line starts at 7″ thing works.

  • Ole Man

    LOL!

  • Geoff_85

Does anyone else feel like the PUke game is getting overlooked? Not that insidethehall has anything to do with me feeling that way necessarily, but Jay Bilas said on Twitter “If you’re IU coach Tom Crean, do you put Oladipo on UM’s Trey Burke? Oh, wait. IU plays at Purdue before that. One game at a time!” Take that for what you will, but a lot of IU fans I know are talking about Game Day vs Michigan as well. Kinda scares me. I mean, I watched the Iowa at PUke game, and both of those teams are not on Indiana’s level, but PUke will do everything they can do to steal one from Indiana. Aside from it being a rivalry game, it has all the makings of a trap game. Maybe I’m just being a “nervous Pervis” (in the words of Ned Flanders). At least “#PurdueHateWeek” is picking up speed on Twitter. Dirty Purdouche Boilerbags. I’m sick of those bastards chanting “IU sucks!” as they lose to the likes of Bucknell (who lost to Penn St btw). I want the Hooisers to shove in their idiot fan base’s face. Puck Furdue!

  • Andrew

No. Crean gets paid 3.16 million/year to be uber-prepared for every game, not just the ones against highly ranked teams. If IU doesn’t play well Wednesday, it won’t be b/c they were looking ahead.

  • Andrew

Dan Shulman and Dick Vitale call all the Gameday games.

  • So_Cal_Hoosier

Gotta agree with Andrew on this one. Besides for Crean, I can’t see a single one of the seniors letting anyone else on the team overlook the Purude game.

  • SCHoosier

Alex..this will be a big game for potential recruits I understand. Do u have a list of who will be attending?

  • SCHoosier

That’s whys ome are referring to the PU game as a “trap” game. I’m concerned about a letdown..but hey./.its Pur-doo-doo. If the Indiana kids on this Hoosier team can’t get everybody else fired up…I’ll be surprised. Could be ragged…and I don’t think we’ll win by more than single digits…but a W is a must!

  • SCHoosier

Yea..only two guys running around with I-phones or laptops so they can post at any time:)

  • HoosierPat

A lot of fans are completely overlooking the PU game. I really hope the players/coaches aren’t overlooking it because, as you said, this could be a trap game if they aren’t careful. PU is getting better and Painter is a good coach. Obviously this is a game in which we should have no problem winning, but I think it will be closer than expected. Anyway, Puck Furdue!

Really? I’ve kind of thought the exact opposite. I feel like the fan suffers – by not being able to hear anything the commentators are saying. I don’t understand why they do it in front of a live audience, and then encourage them to disrupt the show!?
But, it seems like I loathe/disagree with everything ESPN does… They’ve made me despise the word “(insert team)-nation”… the Miami Heat, Cam Newton, UNC/Duke, Robert Griffin…. I can go on!

  • Benhyoung14

The media is certainly overlooking Purdue, but I’m not worried. CTC will have them ready.

  • HoosierTrav

Gameday thought Butler was rowdy???? lol. Looks like we have this in the bag. I wouldn’t be surprised if we pack the place just for the show. I hope CTC told the recruits to tune in @ 10AM

I wouldn’t tie the media’s overlooking of the game on Wednesday with our teams mental approach. These guys are gonna be fired up for this one. Its Purdue! The seniors who lost every matchup until their Junior year will be looking to even the score by the time they leave.

  • HoosierTrav

I’m not sold that they want to hear the show. I’m pretty sure they want to be seen and showcase their school pride. I personally am in favor of how the show is run. Here’s to hoping that the crowd is so loud, WE cant even hear the show!!

  • twarrior87

I 100% guarantee you CTC and the team are not overlooking the Purdue game. Just because the media hype and fans are talking about the Mich game has nothing to do with what CTC and the team are doing. They have been watching PU film and preparing for that team tomorrow night.

  • Daburns0

I tend to agree with you on this. It has gotten better than when they first started this for basketball. It seems really awkward. I think it needs to be done in an atrium area, not just in the gym with a bunch of people yelling at the commentators. The football one is just people there watching the show in a field. It works a lot better.

Its official. Kentucky is scared of Assembly Hall. They just renewed a 2-year home and home contract with UNC when just last spring they said that they don’t do 2-year contracts and don’t want anymore home and home series. What a joke.

  • AZIU71

    Yea right, maybe 7am Thursday.

  • Kevin Tolliver

If it were say Nebraska, PSU, or maybe even Iowa IU might be over looking this Weds game. But Purdue is a good team, our big time rival, and the Big Ten title hangs in the balance.

  • http://twitter.com/brentdthacker Brent Thacker

hopefully they will chanting IU sucks when we are up 20!

  • achurt

I’m referring to myself as “the fan”… I want to hear it!

  • IU1999

For the game, how is IU going to control the hundreds of Michigan students trying to get in the game in student seats? I know the whole student ID thing but they don’t really check to see if its actually you…

  • http://twitter.com/Luke_Copeland Luke Copeland

We’ll be ready for Purdue. POTFB.

  • shknqk

Hanner played with Purdue freshman whatshisname, yogi played against the north central brothers, Vic played his ass off last year as did remy. Jordy might just like the chance to hoist some up. History – both personal and institutional – will keep the focus.

If they aren’t ready I would be beyond shocked.

  • MillaRed

Ahhh man, what I would give to be at that game. I think the winner wins the B1G.

On another note, I’ve just witnessed Nerlens Noel foul out 8 times.

  • http://www.facebook.com/sharon.ducharme Sharon DuCharme

I had a nightmare last night that I.U. lost! Hope not! Go Hoosiers!

  • Geoff_85

So it turns out that I may have been worried about a whole lot of nothing. I mean A WHOLE LOT of nothing. Lol.
