Via IUAthletics on YouTube:
Can’t wait to see Maurice back on the court. His role may have changed, but he seems to be a guy with great character and work ethic–especially going through what he did. He deserves a pretty loud applause in Assembly Hall at Hoosier Hysteria this year.
“Full go”, man I would love to see this kid play like that again. Take your time Mo, we love you and want to see you play at a top tier level but getting healthy and stronger is more important. Everybody says there is no way he can reach what he once was….I would never count him out. Half way through that video and he flashed that smile, it made me think he still has the will to get back to where he was if it is possible. Either way, keep it up Mo. You are a big reason for our success and hopeflly you’ll get to enjoy it from the floor this year.
Of topic but I keep hearing about it and I know it’s going to be packed. Alex – or anyone else – what time do you recommend arriving to Hoosier Hysteria to guarantee I get in, if even in the balcony?
Im wondering that too. Especially since im 4 hours away.
Good for me. I’m 14 hours away so I’ll watch online.
I’ve asked this on a post earlier as well , however nobody helped me out . I’m in Louisville and need to know how early I need to be there .
Back to Creek ( the toughest player on our team ) I would love for him to be able to contribute this year ….even 5 – 7 minutes considering how deep we are .
id say an hour early to make sure you get a seat thats half way descent. I’d say this will be at least as packed as it was the year eric gordon and that class came and i got there an hour early and had pretty solid seats
Listening to Mo talk about being full go, enjoying the aches and pains, and being part of this team just puts a smile on my face and pray for the best for him. What a come back story it will be…
I live in Louisville and would like to know as well. I would be great to get a Louisville based IU fan club going. There seems to be a lot of IU fans here from the previous posts I read last season. I have been told Creek isn’t looking that bad, but like most everyone, I need to see for myself.
Thank you very much, as well at catronhoosier. What time do you expect doors to open? 6 again?
All the best to this young man. Goes to show you don’t need to spend time on the court to live Hoosier values!
You want to show up a couple of hours early, not only to get in line, but to stroll through Cook Hall if you haven’t been in there. Among other things on display, Keith Smart’s jersey from the ’87 championship game…
Last year we got there about 5 or so, went through Cook Hall, then got in line and we had seats that were fine (not to mention my then 12-year old daughter got her picture with Vic, who was coming out of Cook Hall.)
I’d have been curious to see a shot of him from wider because from what I can remember his neck looks thicker. Has he bulked up any in the legs?
I’m in Louisville too. It’s s solid 2 hr drive from East Louisville. We are leaving several hours early to have a few drinks and visit my old fraternity. Is there an IU club in Louisville? If do, do you get together to watch games somewhere?
Perhaps we can get some traction and find others. Sometimes, I see Nebraska fan club get togethers when we eat out. Feel free to email me at email@example.com if you think we could put something together.
What if Mo dominates? What if he surprised everyone and becomes one of our best players? Could you imagine the storylines??
The Phoenix—-from the ashes!
Most just get smart and cross the bridge!
He’ll get that—I bet there will be some tears, too. Might be mine. Hope the three 13 year-olds with me don’t laugh at me.
Absolutley hope this kid can comeback enuff to play a role in IU’s success. Nobody deserves it more. That said, the problem with Mo may come next year..not this. He has another year following this one (I think) and if he can’t earn court time this year..I don’t know how Crean can endanger the programs future by passing on a quality recruit to keep Mo on scholarship. Assuming Mo gets his degree..and can not contribute..moving to a grad assistant for b-ball could be an option?. Just saying…we all want the same thing…Mo’s health and success..but with the players TC has in his sights for 2013 and the scholarship numbers crunch…some really tough decisions may have to be made. Go Mo!
The title of this video made me assume we had just lost MO to another injury for the year……can we keep the words “Maurice Creek” and “break” as far away from each other as possible just to be safe?
if Mo gets injured again, I’m probably gonna cry. Best of luck to him; with his skill, he could be a huge part of a championship run.
Mo being as good as he can be when healthy (and playing defense) along with Cody, Victor, C Wat, and Yogi… man, that’d be scary and it would be a great story.
will 4 p.m. get me into the lower level? Nothing to do during the day on Saturday anyway, may as well get a good seat!!
Loved to see the smile on his face again, particularly when he talked about his anticipation of the upcoming season.
I’m in the Ville as well. Don’t know about an IU club in Louisville, but there is a Southern Indiana IU alumni club that typically meets at a restaurant by the river.
K197 and Abellham , I’ve been here most of my life , and have always had to ask and beg for a bar to put the Hoosiers on the tube , and when they do I find myself in the back , on the smallest tv , with no sound . I know we are down here and would love to get an IU club started . I find that U of L fans generally like us , mostly because of our shared hate of Kentucky . Joes older than dirt on Lyndon Lane is a Colts bar ( and a good bar ) , so maybe that would be an option .
I was considering going but with all the hype surrounding this years team and the names coming to HH, I may just save myself the gas money and watch it online. I have a feeling that the hall will be booked for this one.
I don’t understand the negative votes on this one. Pretty spot on SC.
It’s on IU’s official website I believe, but you have to subscribe
They may laugh if you do, but the day will come when they realize they’re actually not bulletproof & won’t live forever. When that day does come, somewhere not too far down the road something will make them remember that night, and all of a sudden…… it will allllll make sense.
If Mo returns to form than the team will be significantly better. He is mature and athletc. I would love to see what a line up of Mo with CWat, CZ, Hanner or VO and yogi would do….
