I believe Davis will develop a game similar to Draymond Green. Green is 6’7 230 pounds and Davis is 6’6 200. I clicked on Green name hear, read the first post written about him, and thought; this is the way outsiders would feel about Davis today. If Davis can match Draymond come his senior year I wouldn’t be surprised one bit…..that will be nice
Love this kid. He looks very comfortable attacking the basket.
This highlight shows that Devin has a great touch around the rack, but maintains a “Flush it first” mentality (which I love). As he continues to grow in these strengths, I believe he will develop a jumper to complement. Tons of upside with Davis.
No idea how ESPN rates him as a 2 star
So is it safe to say he is very underrated? 1 more thin give been dying to know for so so long : can yogi ferrell dunk? he can def jump but has anyone seen him dunk or knows he can??
I hope he plays more like Thomas Robinson’s style. I think it’ll fit his body type well.
Yeah… feel like I need to see that in slo-mo…
The kid is a banger. Watford’s replacement is my opinion.
I’ve always loved this kid’s ability to play thru contact and finish in traffic. He seems programmed to relentlessly attack the basket. Can dunk with both hands easily, and can finish with either hand as well. I love it. He’s going to be a really good collegiate bball player.
Kid has a no-quit playing style..and defines a “blue colar player”..will do any and all jobs with 100% effort. If he can develop an outside game..mid-range jumper etc..Davis will be a 4 year Ace -iin-the-hole for TC’s crew.
Saw yogi dunk at tritOn central last year
At 1:33 — DD fluidly putting it in on the floor and finishing entirely with the left hand — impressive.
Love this kid.
ESPN must have changed their ranking scale because Hartman and Davis have for the past year both been 3 Star recruits on espn.com.. I was going to tell you that you were wrong but I went and checked before i did and saw that now they are both ranked 2 star. I am wondering if this is an error on their website?
It would be great if he grows an inch or two his senior year because he looks like he is much more comfortable as a 4 than as a shooting guard or small forward.. If he could get to a legit 6’7 and maybe gain 20 pounds he could be an uber athletic 4 with the ability to stretch the defense out to about 19=20 feet and knock down jumpers. At the very least he looks like he will be a top notch defender, rebounder, and finisher in transition.
I was hoping for a slight growth spurt too…always saw DD as a Jeff Newton type guy
he tweeted about having his first dunk in a game during last bball season I think. could be wrong on that, but seem to remember it.
