HD Video: Hulls, Jones, Watford and Zeller after awards celebration

Christian Watford, Cody Zeller, Jordan Hulls and Verdell Jones met with the media following Indiana’s awards celebration at Assembly Hall on Thursday night. Jones discussed his rehab and plans for the future and Watford and Zeller discussed their decisions to return to Bloomington next season.

To be honest, I’ve never heard a better argument for staying than Cody made. “I’m not ready to grow up yet.” I think I’d feel the same way in his shoes.

I don’t think it is any stretch of the imagination that Cody will be in Bloomington for at least 3yrs, depending on how quick he gets his degree.

I think this group of players understands “it’s not where you  start..its where you finish.”

I think you may well be right. Cody has a good head on his shoulders. I don’t think the money, while I’m sure he wants to pursue it in the future, is all that important to him right now. I mean the guy was valedictorian of his senior class in high school, so I’m sure the academic side of things is manageable for him, so he’s enjoying life right now. Sd he said, both on and off the court.
Can you just imagine what his presence can mean to the ‘bigs’ coming in over the next three years. CHC has indicated he is charging the upper classmen with some of the responsibility of development of the new Freshmen class coming in… I’m sure Cody loves that aspect of the situation as well.
What a great guy he is. We are so blessed to have him.
