With known offers already to three prospects and the Hoosier staff beginning to track other prospects closely this spring, it’s time for the debut of our 2015 Indiana Basketball Recruiting Board.

School lists will be added to the board in the coming months, but our first look helps familiarize you with 18 names to keep an eye at this early stage for the 2015 class. (Note: The board should not be considered a complete list of prospects being recruited.)

I like the picture.  A ton of IU fans at the game.  I realize it was LC vs. Cathedral, but that is a good show of support.  It has to rub off on a player like Jalen Coleman.

  • Looks like Cliff Alexander won’t be the “Big Red Dog” for IU, as he has taken a backseat to other recruits, as far as priority of recruitment is concerned.  It would be nice to see us get Kenny Johnson as an Asst. Coach, just in time to nab up either Cliff or Stanley Robinson.

It would be awesome if we got Jalen Coleman!

Haha I like the “big red dog” reference. That would be friggin awesome. But, as has been stated, Alexander is 2014 and I doubt many recruits have taken precedence over him.

I don’t know if Johnson could help with Alexander, but I know he could help get Stanford Robinson, and that is very intriguing.

Has anyone seen Jalen Coleman in recent AAU play?  He obviously had a good freshman campaign and is kind of big for a 14 year old point guard.  I’m really curious to understand how his game is progressing, whether or not he’s still growing, and what his feelings are toward IU.  What AAU team is he playing on and who are his teammates, this would provide some insight although nothing concrete of course.  I loved what I saw as a freshman but I say that in the context of a 14 year old that I assumed would grow and develop.  He’s not today what Yogi is today for example but probably is if you stepped Yogi back to his freshman year.

Jalen Coleman plays for the Eric Gordon All-Stars.  He is 6-2 so he may grow an inch or two.  He definitely needs to get stronger, but hey he’s only 14!  I’m sure he has strong feelings towards IU thanks to his Cathedral teammate Collin Hartman.

Jalen Coleman is the real deal folks. Get to know him….

It has been pretty quiet about Coleman. Heard somewhere iu wouldn’t be a player. Hope that’s not true.
