State of the Hall: March 11, 2012

  • 03/11/2012 1:13 pm in

March Madness is upon us. And Indiana will be a part of the field. With that, it’s time for our bi-yearly “State of the Hall” update, which is available after the jump.

Another regular season of Indiana basketball is in the books.

In previous years of Inside the Hall’s existence, that meant looking ahead to the spring and summer AAU season and Indiana high school state finals. This year, it means looking ahead to the Hoosiers playing in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008.

Our community continues to experience growth as we’ve seen our readership continue to increase with IU’s turnaround season. Your support and engagement each day with your comments and emails continues to push us in our effort to move the site forward. We continue to believe that our future lies in providing the best free IU content available by relying on advertising and donations.

We’ve covered more games (home and away) than ever before this season. Our plan is to continue the level of coverage we’ve provided thus far throughout March.

Over the next few days, we’re reaching out to ask for your support to help us travel to the NCAA Tournament. We are not asking for a monthly donation and by no means should you feel obligated. If you are able to offer support (no amount is too small), please be assured that your contribution will go directly towards any travel in March as well as the spring and summer for AAU events.

If you’re able to donate, please click the Make a Donation button in the top right corner next to the search bar. Thank you for all of your support.

Donation made!  Keep up the great work, guys.  It’s been amazing to see this site grow over the years.  This really is not only the best IU basketball site but the best college basketball site in the land!

Enjoy your time out west covering the big dance!

  • Just want to say thank you for everything, Alex. I hope that our donations help. Just make sure you come back to Indiana with a win!

    Great job Coach Crean

  •  You are welcome. If I didn’t spend all my time teaching, I’d want to do the same thing that you guys are doing. It’s got to be a lot of fun. Tough work but fun I’m sure.

I appreciate this site a great deal and think there’s potential to increase your revenue (opinion, not fact) through the help of your readers.  Your posting a topic something like “how does ITH increase it’s revenue” or “how should ITH grow” would spark what would effectively become an online collaboration amongst the readers.  Readers would be given a heads up a week or so in advance allowing for some upfront research and once the topic is posted we start supplying input/ideas.  Comments are going to generate others to add, evolve, and build ideas to the point at the end you may have 1 or 2 really interesting/valuable concepts.  Your readers I’m sure are a percentage of web savvy, experienced business folks, but also a range of other types that would really add an interesting element.  As Indiana Basketball starts to take center stage again nationally you may be able to put the lightning into a bottle.  I’m sure you understand this is just an idea, not a promise or guarantee.

I’m hoping that by donating it will osmosically (a word I previously coined) help our Hoosiers in the tournament and also my Fantasy Bracket (You know the one that I turn in with the Hoosiers winning it all and I win all the money).  The good thing about living in Ohio is that I’ll be the only one with IU in the Final Four if we somehow magically get there and I’ll most likely win it all.  No worries though I also put in other losing brackets besides this as well.  Thanks for keeping this site up and running so that I have somewher to rant or cheer or whatever I feel like doing that day.

Just Donated. I remember buying VHS tapes of future recruits 15 years ago out of a magazine. So having a site like this with up to the minute news and videos on IU & recrutting is the BEST! Telling everyone down in Tampa Bay to follow ITH for IUBB.
