• BEAT KENTUCKY

    PATHETIC

Name one top 10 team that has as many line up changes as Indiana, especially in the first half. This team cannot step on anyone’s neck or play defense together because the guys on the floor at any given time are always changing. Tom Crean is a great recruiter and a lousy coach, most of the games this year, even the wins are unwatchable- Crean’s decisions during the game make it impossible for the kids to get into any kind of rythym, or to work through mistakes. He flat out embarrassed us today, this one is all on Crean.

I think it is time for some tough love by coach.  Watford and Hulls should not start next game and maybe not Oladipo.

    I thoughtvwe were beyond this

Lousy effort on both ends and lousy officiating, Why hasn’t Crean gotten a technical or spoke out on it, its BS bigtime. Officiating is not the main reason we lost the game but it sure in the hell took us out of it, lousy just terrible all around.

Really?  Again???????? I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired of this crap getting down BIG on the road, especially to a team like Iowa this late in the season.  We haven’t learned CRAP about playing on the road.  I can understand a loss, but these repetitive beat downs on the road are ridiculous.  This one stings…badly!

  • GaHoosier

    I’m gonna try to be positive, so here goes;
1: Zeller looked exhausted, but he still competed like a champion!
    2: Roth can SHOOT!
3: when oladipo and sheehey drove to the basket…good things happened.
    4: ugh…I’m out of positives!

Horrible game to watch. Made me feel like it was 2009 all over again!

It is unexcusable to get your butt handed to you by Iowa. This team has to learn to play with heart and purpose. Some of the guys just don’t seem to get it. If they don’t, it is going to be a short March.

The thing that strikes me the most is what we had to play for. We could have been tied for 4th place in the conference, helped ourselves to insure a good seed in the NCAA Tournament and a good seed in the Big Ten Tournament and a sweep of another conference opponent who has owned us for the last 3 years. A chance to move up in the polls proving to the basketball world we are indeed worthy of the lofty ranking.Yet we had Watford, Hulls and Jones not show up. We played with no fire and just seemed to be going through the motions. I just don’t understand what kind of motivation it takes to get these guys to play like a top 20 team. To further piss me off, Etherington was taken out after maybe 3 or 4 minutes. It was obvious that our “starters” were not into the game. Why not leave Etherington and Abell in to gain some experience? There were many aspects to this game where I was simply lacking in understanding. I’m not saying Coach Crean is a bad coach, or that the starters need to be replaced, just simply don’t understand the lack of urgency with this group. A sad, pathetic example of IU basketball today.

How can you be so bad this time of year.  The players have no self pride.  Could we even beat New Jersey Tech (worst team in Div 1) on the road?

I agree it was a pathetic game, but to say that Coach Crean is a lousy coach is absurd!

“…even the wins are unwatchable”? Is someone holding a gun to your head? Are you locked in a room forced to watch television? If not, then nobody is FORCING you to watch IU basketball!

If they are “unwatchable”, then DON’T watch! Let the other Hoosier fans enjoy a NCAA tournament appearance that we have wanted for years!!!!!

  • gnrnabk1

Crean says they had poor leadership tonight.  You think! DUH!   All this talk is getting real old, do something about it or shut up!

  • Kelin Blab

Getting a technical means absolutely nothing if the team is playing without toughness. The officiating was pretty good if you ask me. They allowed the players to decide the game.

  • Kelin Blab

20-7, this late in the year isn’t so bad.

  • Remy Willing and Abell

Totally agree . I have no idea what their problem is ?

  • GaHoosier

20-7 and 8-7 in conference! Not just any conference…this is the B1G.

How quickly we fans have forgotten the last 3 years! We must remember this is pretty much the same team from last year + Zeller.

We as fans need to keep believing and support our Hoosiers!

  • Mikeast1

I’m thinking Elston, Remy, Zeller, Roth, and maybe Tom Pritchard should start next game against NCCU.  -And if they are winning leave them in for awhile.

  • ch

dead on Druid. Remy and Austin couldnt do any worse than the starters. These two guys have nice careers and maybe a final four at Butler

  • iufan4life10

It is all on coach Crean that Watford, Hulls, and WJIII decided not to get off the bus?  It is the coaches fault that Hulls picked up two early fouls?  It is on the coaches the team simply threw the ball to the other team to start the game?

Please remember this is the same coaching staff that had excellent game plans for the big wins against UK and OSU earlier in the year.  This is the same coaching staff that had a winnable game plan against Wisconsin.  Those are just a few examples.

This team is extremely fun to watch and when they are playing their best they are a very dangerous team.  When this team is off they can be beat by just about anyone and it is frustrating to watch.  The coaching staff is not the only ones to blame in this loss.  Also, to follow along with what GaHoosier said if you don’t think it is watchable find something else to do.

I couldn’t have said it better myself!
