Video: Lyles, Delaney talk about Tech’s win over Cathedral

After dropping a pair of games to Lawrence Central and Carmel, Indianapolis Tech came into Friday evening’s meeting with Cathedral looking for its first win over the Fighting Irish in 13 years.

Tech trailed by as many as five late in the fourth quarter, but with five seconds remaining and his team trailing by one, sophomore forward Trey Lyles received an inbounds pass, made a move and was fouled by Cathedral junior Collin Hartman with 2.9 seconds left.

Lyles, who committed to Indiana in September of 2010, calmly stepped to the line and made both free throws to lift Tech past Cathedral, 59-58.

The sophomore forward finished with 24 points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots while Hartman, who is also verbally committed to the Hoosiers, ended up with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
