This may be the first year where we have the luxury of allowing players to play within their means. If Verdell and Pritchard stick to their strengths, focus on their roles and refrain from trying to do too much, we have enough skilled players around them to have a really potent offense.

Amen to that, I think we’ll see both of these kids do well this year.  Talent has a way of making everybody else a little better as well, and I think (sounds like) they both put in some good work this off year.

I honestly can’t wait to see if this is TP’s breakout year!  I think it will be but he’ll have to be smarter on defense and stay on the floor!  He picked up too many fouls helping out guards who were beat last year and he has to be smart enough to know to just give it up sometimes if he isn’t in position.

By break out year, I continue to point out that I’d be thrilled with TP if he average 6-7 points and 7-8 rebounds a game along with his solid post defense and leadership.  That’s my idea of a breakout year for TP.

I agree – I think this is definitely the year he fulfills the promise we saw as a freshman . ..  I think we’ll all be pleasantly surprised by Tom.

Love to see Cody in that weight room. I hope he is living there. He has so much potential!
