2013 Mishawaka Marian point guard Demetrius Jackson was watched by head coaches from Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Xavier as well as assistants from Butler and Illinois this past weekend at the GRBA National Championships in Fort Wayne.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound guard currently holds scholarship offers from Michigan and Xavier and took an unofficial visit to Bloomington in June.

Inside the Hall was there for two of Jackson’s pool play games at Spiece Fieldhouse and you can watch high-definition quality footage of the 2013 point guard (wearing jersey No. 11 in white) in the embedded media player below. (Note: You can expand the video to full screen by using the arrows in the bottom right hand corner of the player.)

Demetrius is a solid player without a doubt.  I am impressed with his body control, quickness off of the bounce and ability to knock down shots.  However, it is unclear to me if he fills a need on our team with Yogi, Abell and hopefully Lyle.  I guess it depends a bit on how Abell develops and where he plays (1 or 2).

Love this kid’s game and he’s only going to improve.  Demetrius Jackson and Malcolm Hill are my two favorites in this class but it sounds like we have a better shot with Jackson.
