Wonderful, but did anyone get the windmill dunk I keep hearing about?

  • Plane1972

The two guys in the Carolina blue shorts in the lower left of the screen crack me up. It’s like Hanner’s dunk frightened them and they needed someone to hold them. Also, is that PJ in the stands looking like a proud papa? Can’t tell from the video.

    That sure looked like Peter!

I happened to be standing under the basket for this bad boy.  I have seen a lot of dunks in my day but never one where I was shocked after it happened.  You can’t explain the sound in the gym when he did that.

As a player, it has to be defeating.  Check out the big man literally freeze after watching it.  Dunks are one thing but Hanner dunks have to be worth about 6 points for what they do to the other team.

He has some things to work on but when he puts it together…watch out!

To quote Bill Walton: “Throw it down big man! Throw it down!” (or maybe that is @TheBillWalton on Twitter I am thinking of).
Suffice it to say, Hanner appears to be athletic.

  • Was that Alex Etherington standing next to him?

With a name like Hanner and dunks like these, why isn’t his official nickname “Hammer” yet?

Consider it done.  Hanner, “The Hammer”, Perea.
Now we just need to figure out who’s the anvil.
PJ, Yogi, Zeller, Watford, Elston, Hulls?

Probably because it’s pronounced more like “Conner” …don’t worry, an appropriately intimidating nickname will sprout up before he sports the candystripes. BTW, anyone know what ever became of that “expose’ piece” by Mr. Fish at ESPN.com?  And was the ref that T’d up Hanner for his 5th foul (BS) on Baylor’s payroll?
