Eric Gordon All-Star Classic Video: Jaquan Lyle

2014 guard Jaquan Lyle is considered one of the top freshmen both in Indiana and nationally after helping lead Evansville Bosse to a Class 3A sectional title. He averaged 15.6 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game for coach Shane Burkhardt.

The 6-4, 187-pound Lyle has offers from Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, Xavier and interest from numerous high-major schools. Inside the Hall was in Merrillville over the weekend for the 2011 Eric Gordon All-Star Classic and here’s new video of the talented freshman:

Jaquan is a very good interior passer. Who knows but seems like he’ll grow into a 3 or 4 if he’s already 6′ 4″. Blackman a 1 or 2 so adding a point guard and Trevon to make a class of Blackman, Lyle, Lyles, Bluiett, and a point. If the point guard is really good I do think the 2014 class could be better than 2012.

Talent aside, I want him because of the flat top.

I’m 100% sold on this kid. You can’t teach court vision, and he sure looks like he has it. Sign me up.

If he keeps growing it seems he might grow into a point-forward type of player. A mismatch every game? Sounds good, go get him ctc

I am impressed by his defensive intensity. He seems to always pick one or two pockets on each video, and usually it is in a one-on-one situation. He has good vision too. I think he likes to showboat a little bit, but that isn’t all bad!

If he grows another couple inches, I think he plays wing. If he stays at 6’4″ or 6’5″ it will be hard to move him from point. I bet he ends up 6’7″ or 6’8″ though.

    Agreed. It’s coming back!

agreed. you have to recruit this guy for the flat-top alone. no coach or program should risk being seen as discriminating against awesome flat tops.
