Shortly after making a verbal pledge to play at Indiana, 2012 Lawrence Central wing Jeremy Hollowell joined four of his future Hoosier teammates on Indiana Elite Team Indiana.

Inside the Hall caught up with Hollowell after his first game with Indiana Elite and the 6-7 junior talked about building team chemistry, the crowd that showed up at North Central, his relationships with Yogi Ferrell and Hanner Perea and more:

I love the smile that comes in when he is asked about Gary Harris. You can tell these guys really want Gary to play with them, and they are going to be great recruiters for CTC.

Kelin, I was there and TOTALLY AGREE. That was my big takeaway from watching him play and what I have been telling friends.

Very smooth. Reminds me of a Carmelo Anthony type player.

He can get up off the floor much much better than I thought. Because he is so smooth and has, at times, a sleepy game he will catch you off guard but when the time is right he attacks…hard!

To me, there is nothing not to like about this guy! He seems like he has great basketball IQ, great athletic talent, and a team attitude. He can score and he can also find other guys. Seems to be unselfish. If he can get Harris to commit, then I will love him even more.

I’m jealous that you all can see these games… too far of a commute to watch these games from Chicago… will they be playing in Indy all summer? Will they play any games in the NW corner of Indiana at some point where I can go watch?

  • Indiana Elite (and countless other teams) should be at the Best Buy Classic in Chicago in May.

I believe the Eric Gordon teams will be in the Gary/Merrillville area in two separate tournaments in July.

Hollowell is my favorite out of all these guys. He is cool, calm, and collective. I could see him putting 30 points up against a team then talk about the how nice the weather is after the game.

it kind of feels like CTC is done recruiting. i think with what he has started he might never really have to recruit any in-state kids again. that would free up plenty of time for him to spend coming up with schemes to totally dominate the big ten and the rest of the country. “hey JH could you go get GH for us”
“hey GH we are looking at Jon Doe for the 2013 class, what do you say you go snag him for us.”
    this is unbelievable, love it.
thanks for joining the movement JH can’t wait to see you play in 2012

    GO HOOSIERS!!!

I would have to be honest….this easily replaces the old barn storming tour IU use to have….I would make the road trip at least once to see these guys…

Yep, smooth…like Jay Edwards or Eric Dickerson. He paces himself but can erupt at any given moment. I saw him in the Broad Ripple sectional and I almost fell asleep watching the first half and then he just took over. Devin Davis was playing on the other team (Warren Central) so it wasn’t against the Sisters of the Poor either. He’s big, long, smooth, can jump, rebound, he’s a perfect 3 for this group and will likely end up a very good NBA player.

thanks!!! I will be there for sure…

Smooth is the word that immediately came to mind watching him. He makes it look almost effortless and then…BAM, he drives by a guy. He reminds me of a former Hoosier who wore #40. Great shot, but sneaky athletic! Excited to have him aboard!
