Diesel – thanks for your post – I’m still laughing, but it’s a sad laugh because you are so right on – I am posting late because I didn’t get to see the game until early this morning. I have never seen anyone do such a wonderful job performing the Red Sea
defense as CW and our bigs performed it against PUke. Every time someone came their direction, they just parted!

And that won’t help adding the talents of Harris and/or Hollowell? Are you a big follower of JUCO basketball? You know for certain there are no players left?

“The dribble-drive-fall down move…” just cracks me up! Thanks for the laugh. I love IU BB and will always support our boys, but I don’t know if I can stand another year with good players being submitted to “the system” that isn’t worth the paper it was designed on! Everyone knows it and they are waiting for it. I said to those who were watching the game with me, the day after, watch PUke, they don’t even have to move ten feet either direction. And sure enough, they didn’t! Why? Because they, along with the rest of the Big Ten, have already know what’s coming next. Please, please, coach, change your SYSTEM!

My reply would be this: These players, all of them are good 1 game and bad the next. You never can be sure who’s going to play well and who”s not. A problem that on most nights i think can’t be decided until they are on the court. The talent level changes every night So regardless of who it is that means mins just to try and figure out who’s on and who’s not. This team has won/lost with or without Watford, won/lost with or without VJIII. If the top of the skill level is 10 and our team has 1/8,2/7s and the rest 5s and 4s, Do you really think the answer is mins played?

And then get beat back down the floor to give up an open three or a layup.

    Go Hoosiers!

Totally agree…..he said as he struck the match to light byuhoosiers’ pipe.

No, I wasn’t twisting your words; I was merely pointing out that every championship team Knight had was far more talented than any of Crean’s to this point. All three banners were hung with multiple senior leadership and All-Americans.

Only problem about the defense thing is, at the current rate, you’d be putting 3 players on the court, none of whom are scorers.

Elston can be a player if he simply learns to use his head. He’s sure as hell got the physique to play in the Big 10 and he’s a pretty good shooter.

Capobianco is an insurance policy when you need fouls, and this team still needs his size at times–they just need more out of it.
