Although I feel like we should have won that one, I’m glad the team was able to compete on the road. Besides one terrible call that ended up in a 3 point play for MSU earlier in the game, the refs did a good job and didn’t decide the game at the end like they have in some other games.

JR, keep your head up. You did a good job. Go Hoosiers!

I’ll post this again I’m sure but I FREAKING HATE BIG TEN OFFICIATING!!! That game was called tighter than most resulting in lots of FT’s! I understand not calling the minor contact on the Hulls desperation three at the end of regulation . . . BUT HOW THE HELL DON’T YOU CALL THE TACKLE BY NIX ON HULLS AT THE END OF THE GAME??? That’s a foul 9999 times out of 10000 and the 1 time it’s a terrible miss but it’s not a foul with 4.5 seconds left??? Why not???

Oh, and I don’t fault Rivers at all because he was on tired legs at the end of regulation and had played a great game! Anyone can miss shots so I don’t call that a choke like it was last year! It was just a tough break. His stroke on the first one of his second trip was good and it just rimmed out so I hope he doesn’t beat himself up because IU wouldn’t have beat Illinois or been in this one if he hadn’t played his heart out!

Officials should be held accountable for calls like that. Hulls was flat out body checked and they call a jump ball as a result? Flat out ridiculous. We played to win and MSU got serious home cookin’. I’d like to hear a press conference and explanation.

You can bet when they looked at the reply to decide how much time was left, they were like, “yep, we blew that call.” (Among several others)

Great effort Hoosiers. Thanks for making IU basketball exciting the past two games. Even in the loss tonight, it was a fun ride.

I understand not deciding a game but the “incidental” bump-tackle put on Hulls by Nix is a foul every time no matter what time of game it is! You can’t knock a guy down that hard and not get a foul called!

I was sickened. My dog about had a heart attack after I launched my (thankfully) empty cup across the room.

Yeah, like the call where the official at mid-court reversed the Kalin Lucas turnover and gave the ball back to the Spartans after the replay clearly showed Lucas just lost it out of bounds. They get it back and get a three point play. How the **** does an official 45 feet away from a play and behind it reverse that call? He didn’t see that crap! He just figured a guy like Lucas can’t lose that ball out of bounds on his own and he would be wrong!

Can’t complain. For every winner, follows a loser. IU played a good game. Nothing to be upset about. 50% shooting for 2s and 3s. Maybe if they hit a few extra free throws it would have been a different story, but who knows. Hopefully they continue to show up against Minnesota Wednesday.
