I appreciate the coach’s input and your sharing the video. Please note in the future we will see him better with less bright window light directly behind, also a tripod would be good. lacking a tripod just steady the camera on a stack of books. thanks again

Chapel really needed to capitalize on the momentum the IU defense gave the offense but unfortunately that was a very crushing pick in the endzone knotted at 14-14!

IU could use a win with all those recruits there!!!

  • IUMike04

Agreed. But win or lose, this is the type of game and an environment where you love to have recruits in town. You know they’re having a great time and that can only bode well for recruiting prospects.

McClain may be one of the biggest and best signings at IU since Crean has been there. He seems to have brought with him an energy similar to Crean. Is there any way we can just skip this upcoming week, and go straight to the following one for Midnight Madness. I am cool with that….

I think I’d like to play for this guy!

  • IUMike04

That was the first thing that went through my head as I watched this. I think everyone we signed this summer will be a terrific asset, but McClain may be involved with the program much longer and ultimately have the largest impact on the program for the long term. I can’t imagine too many programs have a better supporting cast (and facilities) with the high energy assistants, then CTC. The future is bright.

Got to talk to CTC a little on the field tonight and Harris was right there with him. Didn’t see him with Crean at first because he was turned the other way. Right as he looked my way I said ‘Hey Gary great to see you here in Bloomington’. He seemed happy to be recognized and was clearly having a blast tonight so even with it just being a close game this is a positive experience for the recruits. Zeller and AE were there too from what I could see. The crowd had a chant going of Cody Zeller too. Believe me the recruits were feeling the love.

Too bad the Marching 100 couldn’t spell out “Please Sign” like “O-H-I-O”. Let Crean dot the “I”

  • Yogi Kelin Zeller

That is awesome and I think the commitment momentum is clearly with Crean and IU. Getting Harris is HUGE. He is one of the top 5 players in the state in any class…….I hear he was sporting IU gear.

How Cody can walk away from what he has in Bloomington I don’t know, but the kid has to know he could reach Bailey, Alford status if he commits to IU and has the same success.

We might not even be realizing the payoff just yet. He comes with a ton of experience as a coach and will certainly be an upgrade compared to Ro in player development, game planning, and in-game adjustments and decision=making

Video of Trevon on Demlings blog….he sounds very open to the possibility of an early commitment, as does his father in other articles I’ve read. He also is high on the fact that CTC coached Dwayne Wade and I can see how that comparison would jive with Trevon. Jody likes him as well as if not more than Blackmon Jr.

No commits last yesterday?!?! That’s a down weekend for the Hoosiers these days!! 🙂 Although we still have the rest of today for a commit!!!

Unfortunately, I had to watch the game on Gametracker, but it looked like it was exciting enough. And, you can’t beat a sell out crowd. If they could have found a way to stop that freakshow Robinson…

For those of you who didn’t make it to the game, you missed a classic (even though we lost). If the recruits didn’t think IU was big-time before yesterday, they do now. Great idea to introduce the bball team before that enthusiastic crowd as well.

I still have four years of eligibility left. Where do I sign????

Looks like hollowell will be at midnight madness. What other recruits are supposed to be there?

  • Plane1972

I may be late to the punch on this bit of trivia, but ESPN updated their Terrific 25 for 2014 and Trey Lyles took the #1 spot and James Blackmon comes in at #7. I know ESPN’s recruiting coverage leaves something to be desired, but it’s hard not to get excited about that.

Marrero will be at Illinois…..can’t think of a place I’d rather not be than there.
