Another day, another update on Moses Abraham.

A source tells Inside the Hall that Abraham will likely visit Indiana this coming Tuesday, March 23. It will be the 6-9 forward’s fourth official visit. Abraham has already visited Georgetown, Maryland and Tennessee.

The Progressive Christian Academy forward is also expected to play in next month’s Derby Festival Basketball Classic at Freedom Hall in Louisville, an event Inside the Hall will cover. Victor Oladipo is also expected to participate, but rosters for the event have yet to be officially released.

Current Hoosiers Christian Watford, Jordan Hulls and Maurice Creek participated last year.

The event is two days, with the Night of the Future Stars on April 9 at Bellarmine University and the Classic the following night at 7 p.m. Ticket information is available here.

Related: Steve Yanda of The Washington Post also has an update on Abraham.

Saw this at about 1p from an ESPN Radio host in Louisville on Twitter.

I take the fact that MA plans to play in the Derby Classic as another good sign for the Hoosiers. If I am not mistaken, prep stars can only play in 2 or 3 of these types of events. He must see some merit to play in the area. Those of us IU fans in Southern Indiana are definitely going to have a reason to cross the river other than to raise the collective IQ of the whole state of Kentucky.

How does Big EZ know Crean was involved in getting him included? If true it would be great news for IU that the relationship was progressing like that.

if we dont get MA I will be extemely disappoined. That being said, I have been following this recruiting story like a hawk. This signing will be a victory for the program aswell as “we the fans”.

Thanks for the update and the Post article is worth reading. It's an odd feeling to learn that on Sunday night while I was on this site clicking refresh and hanging on for clues, and then seeing that MOAB was at G'town's tournament celebration party, Crean was dining with his guardian. From a spectator's standpoint, real-time recruiting updates is a whole new world.

I like IU's chances a lot better with the way Georgetown went down in the first round.

Or not—he may have watched that game and, given the way the Hoyas rolled over (plus the assumption that Greg Monroe won't stick around,) thought, “Man, I could probably play right away at Georgetown, too.”

    Hope you're right, though!

Anyone hear about Tyler Zeller thinking about transferring to IU to play w/ his bro who would commit here as well?

  • OhioHoosier

I had not heard that but that would be really nice!

Any word on how the visit went yesterday? When can we expect MA to announce his commitment to IU…
