Video Q & A: Hamilton Heights guard Austin Etherington

by in Video | December 30th, 2009

On Wednesday, Inside the Hall took a trip to Arcadia (IN) for a look at 2011 guard and IU commit Austin Etherington. We’ll have video from Etherington’s 17-point performance in a 76-51 Hamilton Heights win over University in the next few days.

Here’s a video Q & A we did with Etherington following the win:

Good interview….This kid is a sleeper in the state and I am glad Crean got em to IU. I think he will be one of the better players by 2011. Not to mention if his brother turns out to be a player too, it would help. Looking forward to the video….

this kid sounds solid for 2011. however, in looking at espn's top recruiting classes for 2010, i am a little troubled that we are nowhere in the top 25. ohio state is killing us…

I saw him play in this tournament. He did a good job letting the game come to him and allowed for his teammates to get involved in the offense against 2 lesser teams. He can get his shot when he wants/needs it. He was averaging about 25 and he scored 29 in these 2 games. His brother looks to have some ability and is 6'3″ as a freshman. His brother has better body potential than he does. Austin will have more of a long shooter's build from the wing and his brother looks to be a Derek Elston build…maybe stronger potentially.
