Our freshman will have a 'slow but soon to swing upward' learning curve. So, the efficiency will improve. The question is will it be fast enough once we hit B10 conference.

i wouldn't say we now have the horses to play the new offense if said horses and offense are leading to us being in the 200's in the country...

11 wins. Five again Penn State, Iowa, and Northwestern. Four more in non-conference play. Probably beat a couple of teams we shouldn't and lose to a couple of these to teams to even it out. I thought maybe the Badgers would be a little off this season but looks like a solid team now with Leuer stepping up.

With better improvement over the season, maybe 16 wins. I think the talent is there.

Hmmm......It strikes me that we are comparing apples to oranges here ie .....an entire 2008-9 season to 5 games. This means our current efficiencies are based on 40% of our games against teams that do not at all resemble 80% of the remainder of our schedule.

This means our offensive efficiency is overstated and so is our defensive efficiency..........to me this is not good news.

Nevertheless your points are still good ones. We clearly get into the offense earlier than last year creating more possessions. We NEED a 1/2 court post-up game with 3 pt shooting to compliment with our dribble drive from Creek, Rivers, Jones, Dumes, Elston and Watford ( all of whom can drive ). If not then look for teams to pack it in tight. I think Watford can post and so can Rivers but that looks to be an afterthought right now.

On defense we are hurt by 1) freshmen and 2) Dumes lack of playing time and not being completely in synch. Maybe the press is in fact a good answer. Without the D however setting up the break the up tempo will not matter much

It's obvious we are still growing as a team. Once we put it all together, we'll be fine. Not great or real good, but better than what we are now. Hopefully we'll start peaking in Feb. and make some noise.

Off topic now, anyone know where I can find a jacket like Crean wore for the speech at the auditorium, the one with the banners on the back? I've seen some at the games wearing them and would like to get one.
